Sadie laughed as she got up and ran after Luke. He was fast for a pup his age. She caught up to him and touched a paw to his pack. "You're it," Sadie said as she turned around and slwoly ran the other way.

Luke laughed and ran after his mother. He really had no idea he was a coyote, he thought he was a dog. He leapt on his mother's back. "Tag, you're it!" he yelled and ran the other way.

Nickel smiled at Jackson. "Yeah, I guess so and no, I haven't." She grinned at Luke playing with Sadie. "He's so cute."
The Spirit limped toward his pack. He knew they were still there. He could smell them. He entered the camp and looked up. "I have news. It's me. It's Spirit." He realized they didn't know him by that name and he hesitated. He had forgoten his old name since he was so used to Spirit. "I was gone for two years...."

Luke ran into Spirit, not paying attention. He didn't know who this was and it scared him. He ran yelping back to his mother and hid behind her. "Who is that momma?" he asked, shaking with fear.

The Spirit looked at Luke kindly. "I'm... Spirit..." His old name hit ihm suddenly. "I used to be Shadowday...."

"Shadow?" Sadie walked toward the wolf. He smelled different than she remembered, but he looked exactly like the wolf that was once in her pack. "Is that really you?"
Jackson stood up and walked to Sadie and Shadow/Spirit. It only took one look to tell Jackson that this was his best friend. "'Course it's him," he said with excitement. He looked back at Spirit. "We thought you were gone for two years. Where have you been, man? Why keep us waiting?"

Luke cationiously poked his head out to look at the new wolf. He wasn't even a year old so he'd never seen Spirit before and he was still cationous. "Momma? Who is this? Do you know him?"

Nickel leapt to her paws and stared at Spirit. "Shadow? It's you!" She raced to teh group.
Spirit grinned wearly at his old friends. "Hey, guys. Jacklson, I didn't mean to. I've been poking around moslty and I met another wolf pack. I stayed with tehm for a while while I was poking around. Then it came. A creature came and wiped them all out. I came here as fast as i could after I saw that it was headed for here. Have you seen it?"

Luke poked his head out again. "You mean the scary cat? She mean...s-she...s-he." Luke looked like he was about to cry, Saber had slaughtered his mother and father, would of killed him too if not for Sadie's pack. "She took my momma and papa from me." he said before bursting into a crying fit.

Spirit bent down and nuzzled the pup in a brotherly way. "Hey, I understand. I had my parents snatched too. Hunters took them. It'll be okay. What's your name? I'm-" he paused. Who was he? Spirit or Shadowday? He was diffrent than he used to be. "I'm Spirit."

Luke sniffled, tears slowing but still going down his face. "I-I'm Luke, I was so scared when it happened, the cat almost got me but my new momma and her pack saved me." he said, nuzzling Sadie, seeking comfort as well as showing love.

"Haven't seen her around much these days," Sadie said, nuzzling Luke to comfort him. "It's scary, having a thing that so close to home."
"Maybe," Jackson said. "We don't know if it's still here or not. For all we know, it got Luke's pack and left."
"Do you honestly think that thing would just up and leave with more packs around?" Sadie asked sarcastically.
Jackson shrugged. "All we know, is that we... well, we don't know. Whether ot left or not is smoething I think we should figure out before we do anything. You agree with me, right, Sha- Spirit." Jackson could alway count on his friend to back him up against Saide, but with a new name, had his Shadowday changed, too?

Luke stayed right beside his adoptive mother. He sighed. "She only attacked my pack at night, I don't think she'll come out during the day." he said, scratching his head with his hind leg.
