That night all the pups gathered under the nothren lights. Scrappy was next to Cash. "So have you ever seen a real wolf before Cash?" he asked.

"No..But mama always told me they had the most wonderful singing voice" Cash smiled. "AWOOO!!" scappy sang wagging his stubby tail. Cash giggled and joined in howling to.

"I wish to see a wolf some day..." she sighed. Just then a slight howl rose from the mist.

about Scrappy:
He is kind and funny and good to his friends...he loves wolves even though he is only 30% wolf. He acts brave at times but has a gentle heart and is happy to be friends with Cash.

chapter 2:into the silence

jewel carried the screaming pup out of the fog and into the lolling mist of the town.he was stopped by finch and mung who didint look surprised at the pup,they expected she was another orphan of alliences.
"whats this un then?"said finch gruffly
"just found her,terrible mess back there...it..i.."jewels eyes gleamed on the verge of tears
mung interupted jewels sobbing to look closer at the pup,he gently nocked her from jewels jaws onto the ground.she flashed her baby teeth at him and refused to show her submission.
"ill take her to alience"offered mung "your in no position to see alience now ,youll just get her all het up about it...finch you go with jewel and see whats up"
mung galloped down the passage with a angry ball of fur between his teeth.she swung wildly when he turned the corner to a ramshackle barn alive with the sound of yelps and baby barks.
allience stepped out with dark circles aorund her eyes and a look of despair
"no.. not another one mung" she wailed "not today"
the pup wriggled out of mungs mouth and dashed towards the barn,she collapsed in a heap on the litle hay there was on the floor and wrinkled her nose at the smell of urine and wet dog.
the orphans whom allience look after where a ugly bunch.most wher mongrels or crossbreeds either found alone or left there by cruel owners.allience was to them a mother and a care.she was the towns orphanage and took in the small weak and disfigured.

a bundle of brownish fur tumbled towards her eyes wide with happiness.he stumbled as his bandaged leg hit the ground.
"hello I'm Scrappy"
the pup recoiled as he swatted around her ears tail wagging in the excitment all puppies have with something new,his body shook like a fish when it is caught on a line and yapped like a coyote.
"well whats your name then?"scrappy yipped close to her right ear
"cash and dont you forget it"she growled bearing her teeth again.the pups seemed unfazed by this and crowded around her.allience stood at cash`s heels to defend of the more hyper ones
"be nice now you lot"
she whined gently, yawning a couple of times she stood back and let them be.she was too busy talking to mung about wher jewel was to bother with them right now.
cash seemed confused as she sat and looked at this crowd.she held back her tears of her mothers death...she didnt see what happened she just knew that her mother was no longer going to be her,close by her to tell her the storys of her grandfathers and to catch her tail on the summers grass
"i..whe...my.."she spluttered close to tears.
"here now dont get all crybaby,we will look after you wont we guys"smiled the orange puppy whom cash later knew to be named lily.she was the one who helped allience with the more sensative youngsters yet she wasnt much older then cash herself.her bright green eyes reminded her of her mother as she bit back tears once more.

trigger a lightish grey pup with handsome brown markings and sporting a green sled belt wriggled towards her on his belly.his tail was like a hummingbird it wagged that fast

"gosh your pretty"he gulped "i .. i never seen eyes like yours"

cash kicked him back and pressed her growling face close to his with teeth on show and ears back.trigger licked her cheek causing her to bounce back and blush slightly.

" Hey there Cash! Come on, join us and play! ".trouble(the mischevious grey pup who was admired by many for her beautiful markings and sparkling laugh.cocking her head sideways to look more closely into cash`s eyes.
cash wobbled her bottom lip to stop herself from crying and swallowed
"i aint gonna play with no one ..no how!"she screamed.she stared at the pups noticing a handsome young male in the background,there was scars slahed across his face and shoulder.he caught her eye and snapped the air to show his teeth.
"tynan dont do that" barked trigger " your such a show off"
but Tynan sat alone just watching the others, he stayed in the shadows. He moved away from everyone, execpt Cash "Hey" he said with a charmng smile as she aproached him.cash was mesmorized by his anger and wanted someone that felt as angry as she did
"will i ever get out?" she adressed him
tynan thought for a moment then sighed "no ".he then turned tail and walked to the back of the barn.cash glanced sideways as the others stared her way.she pawed the dirt on the ground and collapsed in tears,sobbing violently.

the crowd left slowly.being homeless and parentless they knew she needed some "ME time.....

the emotions running through the barn that moment were mixed.the orphans were anxious about the newcomer cash and tynan felt guilty for setting her of into tears.cash was confused and lonley about her mother and the future here.
allience meanwhile was pestering mung about her mate jewel and on what grounds did he see fit to lumber this pup onto her at such hard times.

i canr twait to start the next chapter... it will be based on the moonlit night when the pups are outside the barn crawding round a small bonfire.. its sort of like aleuthewolfs idea so ill give credit to her
