Luke peeked his head threw a bush between Yunfly and Nikki. He quickly pulled his head back in but peeked back out and let out a whimper as he looked at the two of them with his bloodshot eyes.

Yunfly stopped growling and turned towards the bushes. "Did you hear that?" she asked the pmeranian. then she padded ot the bushes and looked in to see a coyote with teh fur of a golden retriever. "Who are you?" she asked kindly. "I'm Yunfly."
Winterfall skidded to a hault and looked in shock at the pomeranain. "Who are you?" he asked. Then he saw te coyote/golden retriever mix. "Hi," he said. "Hi to you both. We're travelers and- well- I'm Winterfall. Not to sound rude but who are you?"

Sunflower watched Mara running after a crickt through the grass outside their small den. Her head snapped at the sound of voices just north of their home. Midnight noticed too. They looked at each other for a moment before Flower picked Mara up and took her inside while Midnight followed the sound.
"Mom, what are you doing?" Mara asked as Flower took her into the den. "I was playing," she whined. Her mother sushed her. "We have to stay where it's safe." Mara was still confused. She laid down on the dirt floor with a sigh. She hated being cooped up inside.
Midnight found the source of the commotion. The three wolves he had seen traveling through these parts where talking to a coyote and a pomeranian. He walked up to them with confidence, after all these were his lands.

"Name's Midnight," he said in his deep voice. "And this land belongs to my mate and I." He didn't mention that he hated visitors, though his mate loved them.

Yunfly nodded. "I'm sorry, Midnight. I didn't know. We are travelers and we will leave soon but we were about to hunt when we found these two." She nodded at Luke and Nikki.

Yunfly looked at him sadly. "Oh, Luke, I'm so sorry. i ran away from Nome because I didn't fit in. Then I met Wanderer and Winterfall." She looked at Winterfall. "Where is Wanderer anyways?"
"i dunno," Winterfall replied. "He went to check out a sound. I haven't seen him since." He turned to Luke. "Hey, I have an idea! You should travel with Wanderer, Yunfly, and me!"

Luke sniffled and stopped his tears. "Really? I can come with you? You'll keep me safe right?" he asked, cocking his head rather cutely.

"I don't care what you do," Midnight said, "just get off my lands as soon as you can."
"Midnight!" Sunflower scolded the mate. She had decided to check out the noise too. She was disappointed in what she found. "Be kind to our visitors. It wasn't long ago that we were lone travelers as well." She turned to the dogs. "I'm sorry for my mate's behavior," she said kindly. "Stay as long as you like." Flower saw the coyote crying. "Its alright dear. My owner abondaned me too. It'll be alright."
Mara did't like all of these dogs. She was used to just her, her mom, and her dad. She agreed with Midnight: these dogs needed to go. Unless they were more fun than her mother. Then she would let them stay.

"Not lately," Sunflower said. "I hope you find him though."

Luke smiled for the first time since he'd been abandon. "Thank you." he said, cocking his head and smiling. He looked at Mara, she was the closest one to his age though she was a good bit younger. "Hello, I'm Luke." he said to her.
