"Maybe someday a wolf will coma along and put her in her place." Akita looked at the ground. "I know the prophecy said it should be me, but... I don't think I can." Akita dared a look at Carlos. He had tried to build up her confidence, but she knew in her heart that it was hopeless, she was hopless.
Claudia found herself heading to the small lake that split the packs' territories. She wondered why Akita would even go there. A Fire Pack wolf could easily see her. Then, she heard voices. Claudia crouched down and hide behind a tree to easdrop on the couple.

Carlos sort of smiled and replied, "I'm sure you can. I have complete faith in you, and no matter what I will always be by your side." He was about to lean in closer to Akita when he suddenly felt a change in wind and sniffed in a new scent. "I better go," he said. He the got up and rushed back across the river, wanting to get away from any trouble.

Belladonna was furious. Where was Carlos? He knew better than to wander off! Had he learned nothing? She clawed the ground in anger and made a decision. If you are hiding something, I'll find out and I swear, you will pay!Then she trotted into the forest to find him.
"Want to hunt?" Yellowstone asked. "Maybe together we can find something, right?"

Akita stared after him. He was so close she could see the full color of his eyes. What made him leave? Then she caught the scent too. Claudia.
Ooc:// sorry it sounds so lame, but i didn't know what color Carlos's eyes were
Claudia stepped from behind her tree. "Tell, Akita," she said soflty, "What exaclty you were thinking when you decided to hung around with scum like him?" Akiata stayed quiet, head down. "I saw you two Akita! I want an explanation now!"
"You don't understand." Akita tried to remian calm. Her anger was bubbling and tears were clinging to her eyes. Claudia ruined everything for her. "Why did you follow me?" she snarled.
"It's a good thing I did. You know how Fire Wolves are. He could have hurt you." She said this last part in a caring voice. She didn't expect the reply she got back.
"But Carlos isn't like that!" she yelled. "He's different than them. He cares about me, too. And I... I love him," the last part was a whisper. Unable to bear her friend's reaction, she ran into the woods behind Claudia. Toward camp? Maybe. Anywhere but there.

"Carlos!" Bella's cry rang out like bullet through the still air. Oh, he was in big trouble. Wandering off without telling anyone. Then she froze because she saw two female wolves talking by her broder.. and Carlos's scent was there.

Akita slowed her run to a walk. She was nearly at the opposite end of Star Pack territory. She couldn't believe what she had said. She had just told a pack member about Carlos and, worst of all, her love for him. She had barley figured that out on her own before she blurted it out without thinking. It was about midafternoon, to late to go to camp and sleep. Instead, Akita laid down, head on her paws, and drifted off to sleep.
Claudia watched in shocked silence as Akita ran off. What she had just heard was unbelievable. Akita was in love with a Fire Pack wolf. Claudia couldn't take it. Maybe she had misunderstood her. But someone still had to take care of the Star Pack dogs, so Claudia retreated to camp, vowing to herself that she would never repeat the event.

Hmm. this was good. that silvery colored wolf said she loved Carlos.... Belladonna growled with pleasure. She knew what she had the power to do. It wouldn't turn out pretty for Carlos or the other one....

Belladonna began her walk to camp, knowing that Carlos would be headed back now most likely. She would wait to make her move and then, whne she acted, it would bring the whol forest to her paws and she would be the supreme leader!

Kira turned back and nodded. "Sure," she replied with a smile to Yellowstone. "I'm starving anyways." And with that, she trotted into the forest, sniffing around for any nearby prey.
Meanwhile, Carlos was panting heavily. That was close, he thought to himself. That was too close. He then sighed and slight relief and started back towards camp. He tensed up again as he heard the madness within his leader's voice. "Uh oh..." He jumped out of the bushes, but he landed flat on his face...and right in front of Belladonna! he looked up and smiled sheppishly once again. He laughed nervously for a little bit before he said, "Oh, uh...he he, hiya Belladonna."

Akita slept for about an hour before deciding to return to camp. She ran into Kira and Yellowstone before she came to her destination though. They were sniffing around, looking for food she guessed. As Akita went say hi, she wondered if Claudia would have told them about Carlos. She prayed Claudia was a better friend than that. Or were they no longer friends? "Hey Kira!" She greeted. "Hello Yellowstone," she said a bit less brightly to her older sister. "How's the hunting going?"
Claudia stared outside from the den. She sighed. She hadn't told anyone about Akita and the Fire Pack wolf, but she was still considering telling Kira. They were friends after all. Or maybe Yellowstone. She might be able to talk some sense into Akita. But Claudia knew, with her luck, another wolf would overhear them talking. The news would spread arpund camp faster than wild fire. Claudia decided just to keep her mouth shut... for now.

Yellowstone shrugged. "Not well," she said. "It's not terrible but... well, let's just say we haven't caught anything yet." She narrowed her eyes sucpiciously at her younger sister. "Where were you anyway? Everyone was looking this morning!"
"You! Where... were... you?" Belladonna snarled. "You disappeared." She wouldn't tell a soul about Akita's love for him. Yet. "I've been looking for you." She wouldn't tell him that she overheard and knew where he went. She would wait until the time was right. Again and again, possibilities raced through her mind. "Come. We're going to hunt." it wasn't a question. It as an order.

"I was out by the lake." Akita stated calmly. She knew how her older sister was. she needed to keep a calm head with Yellowstone. "I feel asleep, woke up, and thought it a good idea to come back to camp." She said under breath, "Your lucky I came back at all."
