I pick Golden Retriever. Labs are cool, but their coats are a bit too oily for my linking.

Heh, even though Goldens are and will forever be my favourite breed, I gotta say it's nice having a dog with a coat that dries so quickly (I own two Goldens and half-own a black Lab)!
Plus Labs (particularly the black) are shiny. Gena almost looks blue when she stands in the sunlight because of her coat! It looks like she's been polished every morning.
I also like that Labs have more colour varieties, though I think the Golden Retriever coat has a nice texture and their body shape is so beautiful.

Labs are definitely one of my favourite breeds, though Goldens are always #1 for me.

Hmmm...it's almost a toss-up for me, I'll say Golden because of teh fwuffy cuteness, but they're both sweet, nice dogs. I have nothing against either breed. They're both just a little too popular for me.

If I owned any Retriever it'd be a Curly-Coat, no question.

both!

My favorite dog breeds are Border Collies and all the retrievers except curly-coats (That makes 6 different breeds.)

However, I wouldn't want 6 dogs at once, it's just that when I get the dog who is just for myself, I would want him/her to be purely of these breed(s).

Oh yeah, go Border Collies! They're my favorite breed. ^^
