I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Metroid Prime trilogy yet. Those games are really fun.

I like Corruption for the wii because it was so much fun using the wiimote to shoot so it was pretty realistic.

Halo is my favorite FPS and I think all three games are great.

Battlefield: Bad Company so far.

Only gripe I have, is that the idiots put my gun's ejection port on the left side of the receiver, when right handed Armalite family weapons had them on the right hand side...launching away from the operator's face. Ah well, still fun. XD

06-07 07-08< it was all good, all fair.
08-09< hackers went above and beyond. Target Lock was the only hope. :)
09-10< I don't think there will be a 2010 SFDM. Leaderboards are a mess.Too many players (160,000+)

Hexen is the best FPS ever made with all the enemies and levels, as well as being one of the most graphically advanced game I have ever played

I like Garry's Mod and Team Fortress 2 both FPS and somewhat mods from HL2. Playing with Source Engine physics is quite fun in Gmod due to it being a Sandbox mod.

TF2 is a relaxing Cartoon action game. Fun to shoot people and taunt at them when you dominate them. Its quite fun really.

CoD Deluxe Edition was quite fun game but I got bored of its repeativeness. Hey I've played Medal of Honor and both of them were so much alike that it was boring. 1 man kills entire German Division how cool is that? No matter what difficulty level one uses- doesn't change the fact that 1 man kills everyone!

Operation Flashpoint, I prefer this one because it is so far one of the realistic simulations of Combat despite its weirdness and lack of graphical love (spare it is a old game!)

Battlefield 2142 is quite good game. I love the Titan mode but...that's about it xD

So far Half-Life series is a good hit for me. Even if it is about 1 man facing everyone its story line is very interesting. Waiting for Ep3 to get HL3 (Half-Life 3= HL2 Ep1+Ep2+Ep3)

I'm not into the majority trend that FPS games tend to take.

However, I like the simpler CoD5 over CoD4

Halo was good, Halo 2 was decent, Halo 3 died.

I'm still mostly indifferent with Gears of War... but of the time I played it, I liked it.

The only series that really stuck out to me as my favorite FPS is the Metroid Prime series with Metroid Prime 3 being the best (that is until the 'New Play Control' version of 1 and 2 come out).

I'm hoping that will change when The Conduit comes for Wii on June 23rd.

-remembered my earlier post-
After playing CoD4 about a bazillion times I've come to LOVE it. More than CoD:WaW. And I cant wait for Modern Warfare 2 now. Just saying, CoD4 is my fave 1st person shooter now =P

Sadly outa all those listed I'd have to go with Halo 3, and that isn't saying much.. I'm more of a Gears of War kinda gal.. though they don't belong to the FPS catagory.. oh well :3
