I don't know because if you really think about it, Balto just lead the team being ordered by his musher. He didn't really do anything THAT great.

It kinda depends, although Togo did do alot of the work, Balto did get the medicine through, but Togo should be awarded just as much as Balto, I know he didn't get the medicine all the way there, but he did go the furthest distance he should deserve the credit as much as Balto did.
I am not against Balto on bit....I fully love Balto truely, but I am just saying that Togo does deserve some of the credit too, and yes they should have a berial of Balto and Togo, I love them both

Well, i don't really think that stuffing them is very good, since it kinda makes them seem dirty and stuff, and all they are doing is looking at a lifeless husk that is probably hardened. But i guess people want to see the real Balto instead of just ashes. >_> and it is a museum, and they are basically preserving them like a mummie or something.

If they weren't in the museum, who would know about them? What is the harm in preserving a dead animals body....???? You guys talk about it as if they are actually alive and people are always staring at them as if it is a zoo. Yes, I guess they COULD have been burried...but what makes it anymore honorable? I say, either way...it doesn't make much difference since they will never return to earth nor live again...or whatever...But I'd like to know...would anybody know about Balto and Togo if they were not in a museum??? Because...isn't it usually, and just USUALLY, in museums, where we find out about "hero's"? And first of all...don't get me wrong, oh I LOVE Balto and all the other dogs...but...just because they did something...so called, "great and awsome", doesn't mean that the way they have been preserved is unfair...And first of all...it wasn't untill I heard something about a dog named Togo that was in a museum that I learned he had something to do with Balto...

Well i mean i don't dissaporve, of it. But like stuffing sounds bad >_> that's all.
And there are other ways to rememeber people or things than looking at their stuffed bodies.

I just found a picture of Togo I don't want to show the picture because maybe people don't like it
I feel sad for him I think they should get a better ending than this
I got this information from the site I found the picture:
Togo was owned by Leonhard Seppela and was famous on the sled dog racing circuit. He was 12 years old when he lead Seppela’s team in the 1925 Serum Run. Balto became famous during that race because he was the lead dog on the team that mushed into Nome. However, Togo lead his team over more miles of the trail than any other leader and team. Shortly before his death, Togo finally got his recognition at Madison Square Garden in New York City in front of 20,000 spectators. Togo died in Maine in 1929 at the age of 16.
probably most of you knew it already but just for people that didn't

His life revalved around that night of force. and now the life and spirt of Balto, once full of pepole admireing him and adoring fans and frends, is now one of solitude as he rests in his glass coiffen.I would liken Balto to the another exposed corpse...the USS Arizona in pearl Habor. The ship lays were she fell so others can see her. There was talk of raseing her to bury the ship in a landfill and place a park over her. They didn't do this to honer the dead intombed inside her. This is the same with Balto. He is visablke so others can honer his name and remimber his story. If he was buryed in the ground we wouldn't be able to stare into his eyes (Even though they are glass) or compare are selves to his stature. and we can remimber the boldness and curege of not just Balto but of all the dogs who pulled that crate so long ago. I belive that a glass box is a fiting place for Balto to rest. inside there it is qwit and calm. whale the world hustles and bustles outside the glass walls. Balto sleeps for all of eternaty. And for eternaty to remimber him. That is why i think that Balto should be left were he is. To salvage or to save.
WOW! thats so true makes me feel a little better about him being in a glass

Togo was put to sleep? The poor thing. Oh, well, you have to do what you have to do. I didn't know that though. Little known fact, huh?
