Do you think Steele is supposed to be Togo?

Wow! You're going to Nome? I would see Togo first. I don't think he's in Nome though. I saw Balto over summer break last year. I missed the speacial event for Balto every 5 years or something like that.

I will see Balto again wen I'm 15.

No, Steele is NOT based on Togo. Steele is a made up character, as Togo had nothing to do with the film.
sadly, None had part of it, besids Balto.

No, I don't think so. They made him because they needed a villain. But there's something I've been allways wondering, looking at those Togo pictures...why did the animators made Balto look more like Togo than the real Balto? xD At least the markings.

I don't think they used pictures of Togo. This dog here, is Balto's model.

No, Steele was not based on Togo. Another popular assumption is that Steele's design was based on the real Balto purely because both were black and white. :roll:

Steele was a fictionary character created specifically for the purpose of a fictionary "baddie" to make the "hero" of the movie seem more likeable and such.

As for Balto's colouring in the movie: Don't forget, the cartoon Balto is only (very) loosely based on the actual Balto. They made his colouring brown-ish grey because in the movie he was part wolf.

No. They probably would have explained it in the movie. And if they really wanted a Togo character, they probably would have made one to be Balto's friend or something. But Steele is COMPLETLEY fictonal.

no, i don´t think in Steele as a Togo´s animated vertion, Balto an Togo were partners in the travel for the medicine, they were firends!, and Steele is not a Balto´s friend.
