Majalo’s Character Guide
-Glow sticks, Socks, and the like-
These can be nice, but they are EXTREMELY popular. Sometimes seeing one just makes ya go “Oh god not another” spice it up a bit, don’t go for the socks on the legs or glow stick in the mouth. What about a character that glows –like- a glow stick? Or has some sort of weird…obsession with them?

And about sock, how about a char who EATS them? Lol like Blizz!! Also something Blizz dose, he tap-dances!! Classic trait!! (sorta)

Blizz is (c) to Pawsteps

Ooh, dis is great!

Also, sometimes a bit of fur sticking out the wrong way can be just as (if not more) characteristic than two earrings, a bracelet and a necklace. I LOVE drawing scruffy fur!

But yeah. No matter how many super-powers, bracelets, tints and symbols a character has, you still have to make an effort to make them sound believable.

For the first part, try to wrap your mind around a back-story or history to your character

I have a character named Shadowmist who's personality and history were created long before her design. She's a blind wolf who lives in a cave in Tribe of the North territory. She is easily offended and offense and embarrassment turn into anger in the blink of an eye. She lives alone, execpt for her apprentice/adopted son, Flare, and attacks anyone who come near. So when I created her, I made her gray and black with thin eyes and criss-cross scar over one of them. Picture(for an example):
