If anybody has any ideas for beginning the screenplay, I'd like to hear them.

Well, maybe have Jim come home and comment on the stocks going down, somthing like that. I suggest talking to JerseyCaptain for details, since he's such a history expert.

That's a good idea, especially since on October 24, five days before the crash, there was a plunge in the markets, but Wall Street officials were able to stave off a collapse....at least for the weekend.
