Well, it's legal in Washington State...not the marriage, but the other....um....yeah. So it's not just India that has some far-fetched laws.

That's a bit... odd. At least he doesn't have to stay with the dog forever, I guess, but he probably has to choose an old one so he can remarry faster.

It's actually legal with anything larger than a dog...There was a huge news story about an event that happened. It's not appropriate for this board though. I live in said state.

For me, marriage should only be for those who are in love (no matter between males and females, males and males, females and females, rocks and rocks, etc.). So, since the man doesn't feel any love, and the dog was forced, this disgusts me.

It happens in India a lot, humans marrying dogs, cows, snakes, even trees and bushes. It's all for spiritual reasons.

I bet 10 years later he'll still be married to that dog, if she dies, he'll probaby marry another to 'break the curse', until he's on his death bed. Then I'd love to see the look on his face when he realises what he's been doing all his life
