Hmmm interesting topic.
Anyways I find lots of times popular people saying that they wish they weren't popular. And unpopular people to be popular.
So this means you don't know what do you actually want.
(sorry if this sounds off XPP)

As a newbie, I understand that popularity does not come overnight. Sometimes, popularity is not even a good thing. You will always get some newbies that want instant fame at every forum, not just this one. It takes time and patience to at least have the respect from others both here and out in the world. I almost expect close to no responces as of now. I have to be here long enough and on a consistent basis (as of course being nice ) for people to know me. I can't think of anything else to say.

btw, what is the shoutbox again? Is that the thing on the top entering into the official site?

Honestly, people should be careful what they wish for. XD First off, one should be more worried about how popular he/she is in REAL LIFE before they are online. Haha, that's usually how it works. But indeed, it DOES take time for people to recognize you. How much time? That's all dependent on how often you visit the site, and how much you contribute to it. Send Fanart, Fanfics, GOOD articles, post on the forums, stalk the shout box. Anything. The worst way to get attention is claiming that you need it...because EVERYONE needs attention. :]

TAKE HEED THESE WORDS. For this is an answer not only to how one becomes more popular, but also one for those who have taken to nagging, "HOW DO YOU BECOME A MOD?!?!"
