Balto Source,and Lion King Source deserve the same amount of attention.

Three words for you:
Life isn't fair.

This is one of those problems that won't be solved...ever. Just live with it.

Balto gets more popularity because of:
A: Based on a true event
B: Attracts many wolf fans (in good/bad ways)
C: Almost every fansite of Balto perished in a plague of disinterest, and Balto Source is one of the last few sites still breathing. Search for Lion King sites on Google and you're going to find at least 25 on the first two pages, and there you will find that all TLK fans are scattered amongst this jungle of fansites.
D: Balto > TLK (Hahahahahahahahaha {oh wow... amidoinitrite?})

Also, people that plan events such as the Balto Source trip actually have destinations to travel that relate to Balto (the exhibit in the Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Metropolitan Zoo, et cetera). What, is there going to be a Lion King Source trip to Africa to search for something that was just created off elements of another movie and Disney? Would seem a little pointless, so unless some other person decided to plan a trip then go right ahead...

I think that's becasue Balto is a true hero,and he saved the children of Nome in winter of 1925...and The Lion King???Just a animated movie...true movie???NO!!!

This website was specifically created for Balto, and Balto only, and steet did (in my opinion) an error in creating a TLK-source as a SUB-SITE of the original BaltoSource, and is therefore less concentrated on. However, there are major differences (which has already been mention, but I'll mention them anyway):
1. Balto is based on a true story, and he saved loads of people (with the help of Togo), although there has been little praise for the movie, it's still more important and more correct, historical-seen, than The Lion King, which is based entirely on fiction.

2. Unlike lions, Wolves have had general lore, playing a part in almost world-wide myths, histories, stories, etc., so naturally; the wolf lovers are the vast majority here.

3. Google "The Lion King" and join one of the many inactive TLK websites you'll find there, if you don't like that BaltoSource has the priority here.

I like, no... I love The Lion King myself, but Wolves and Balto tops the list, without doubt.

Give it up -_- You're lucky Steet even has a TLK source. Plus there's already MILLIONS of TLK fansites still out there.

Why not make your own site on Freewebs? It's easy to use and lots of fun.
BTW, I really really do recommend you see Balto; it's a fantastic movie.

Tons actually. Search Freewebs, they usually have forums along with RP's and SB's. At least I know my Freewebs sites do.

Tani this rant is pointless. Like the others have said this site is dedicated to Balto and Balto alone. Balto is based on a true story and he deserves praise and recognition for what he did for the town of Nome. I like Balto enough to be on this site... maybe in the future I'll get to writing something for it, but I'm not sure yet. Another reason I'm here is because I'm a fan of wolves. Well... Balto (cartoon wise) is half dog, half wolf. So it's clear that the site is dedicated to wolves as well... it's for Balto and there's no problem with it. Steet knew what he was doing.

As for The Lion King, I am a huge of fan of it but not enough to let it dominate my job here on Balto Source. When I saw the movie in the theaters, I fell in love in with it and still I'm an admirer of it, rendering screen images and writing stories of my own creation in the lion universe. If you're so upset then go to another site that for TLK only. It's not that big a deal.

This site is called "BaltoSource" for a reason. The site I'm linking to is called "Lion King Source" for a reason as well. If you don't like Balto that much, then I can't help but wonder why you're even on this site.

Well thank you Togo for making visitors leave Sorry but on the contrary, I'm happy to hear from Lion King fans when they've always stayed so quiet until then. Because I WANT to hear from them, to know what the problems are with LKS.
And I must say I don't like that so many of you showed disrespect to these LK fans.


NO, NO and NO!!! I made Balto Source first, BUT Lion King Source is a different site and dedicated to The Lion King. Only the forum and the global site mecanisms are shared.


No, in fact I didn't even remember that there was no Lion King avatar here. Yes, I would add some, although someone would need to provide me them (I mean, avatars and smileys)
I can't make another forum because I don't want to have to manage too many forums at once, so that's why it's shared. When I'll make more sites on other animated films, I will also link to the same forum, just with new sections.


No, the reason that they share the same domain name is that it was easier to manage for me. I have the domain name http://roilionsource.timduru.org too since a few months that I wanted to use, but I couldn't for programming reasons (I would have to make many changes in order to be able to use it) So I kept this the way it was, but that doesn't mean I won't get a full name one day.

To summarize : the reasons LKS get less attention is because it's the second site I did (so there are some things that I forgot to do or was too lazy to do), because I like Lion King but less than Balto, and because I didn't spent enough time to improve the webranking of this site.

So, in order to get some more Lion King visitors, that's why I'm planning to do :

- Add avatars, smileys, etc (send me some!)
- Make a different forum layout for Lion king, whenever phpBB will be in final version. People registering on Lion king source will use that layout automatically.
- Extending the Lion king forum section into several. I think it's time to do it.
- Allowing some of the visitors to post news on the site. I may not have time to do it myself, but I'm sure there are some of you who could do it very well.
- Translating some of the main pages on the site that I never did in 2 years...
- And I will start immediately by renaming this forum to "Animation Source", so that there won't be any more ambiguity.

But all this will only work if the Lion King fans help me with this!
