Heck, I was only 6 (or 7, I forget now) when I aksed my dad to show me one of his gun bullets. Some people choose to hunt wolves and that's their choice, not anyone else's choice! Also, when I am older than 13, I am going hunting with my dad and I will be getting a wolfr hunting license. It is my choice and not anyone else's choice!!! I respect your choices Strawberry, but a lot of people here love wolves and will not tolerate you talking about that sort of thing. Sooner or later, someone (immature) will start flaming you. There are things I'd like to talk about as well, but I keep them to myself because it would offend some people.

Also, what's the big deal with hunting deer, moose and other animals like that? Our ancestors had to do it for survival and are you (Bruno) saying/telling us that we cannot go out to the bush, load up our weapons and go hunting? And why do you think I'm going to keep guns when I'm older? So, do me a favour and think about that, please. And if you can't respect that people choose to hunt, then I don't care!!! 'Cuz, no matter what, I AM getting my father's 3 hunting rifles!!! First off; I, and I know many other members (and mods) are getting tired of you going "Oh, I love hunting, I will get my father's three hunting rifles." in almost all of your posts. Please try to refrain from posting that message, unless it has something to do with the topic. Secondly; Bruno did -not- say that he was against hunting, he has actually stated in many of his posts in this topic that he is actually supporting it, or is for it. I'm not quite sure how to interpret his posts myself xD What he is against, is hunting just for the thrill, or the socalled "professional" hunting, where you hunt for competitions and fun, and not for survival. Anyhow, you must read the topic properly before replying, or else people might get annoyed. tibb_wolf wrote: While you do raise good points I guess, not every one is going to accept hunting. Like me. I still think it's wrong. Why? It's my own personal opinions.
There are always going to be people on this site that say hunting is wrong and that they or against it or whatever. And there's nothing we can do about it because it's their oppinion. I agree with you, tibb, and personally, I think any kind of hunting is senseless (we now have synthetic versions of nearly every resource you get from animals), and wasted. Before we humans inhabited the Earth, Tellus had a natural cycle to contain the growth of the zoologic population, (i.e how big a population can grow in one area, before food resources becomes scarce, sickness spreads, etc.), and had we humans not arrived and interfered with that cyclus, we would not have needed to hunt at all. The emat we eat gives us proteins and other important minerals, but none of that has not been reproduced in synthetic form. In theory, we would be able to live 100% without hunting, eating vegetables and pills (lol), and live for quite a long time too. ------------------------ Anyhow, this world that we live in has become what it is today. Professional hunting, or not, we humans are the main reason more and more species become extinct. Examples of this is the Panda, which was legal prey until sometime in the 1960's (me and my numbers -.- This is most probably incorrect, so feel free to add the correct year). Before that, the Panda population had been reduced by more than 80%, and the remaining individuals are now mainly in zoo's and specially designed animal habitats. And this was thanks to both professional hunting, and the Panda fur. Another would be the Polar Bear, which were protected around the same time. However, their population is still going down, if not as rapidly as one would think, but steadily. But this decrease of population is mainly because of Global Warming, which we humans are particapating in (and we are also one of the main factors it happens), which melts the polar ice caps. That last one might not be much related to hunting, but I felt like adding it there The definition of professional hunting is: A hunter who hunts for kicks, competitional purposes, or whom hunts because the hunter can. The definition of normalized hunting is: A hunter who hunts for resources, letting no part of the prey go to waste, whom do so for its own survival. I hope all of you see the difference.

Personally, I am fine with people hunting deer and such, so long as the hunters actually plan to eat them. Hunting wolves, bears, big cats, etc. is not justifiable unless it's self-defense, because they're the ones helping you keep the rapidly reproducing population of deer, gazelles, antelope and such to a manageable level. Hunting for sport, just so you have some head to put on your wall or a rug, I find that rather sadistic and barbaric.
I mean, for instance, if you feel like having some wild turkey this thanksgiving, and you don't want to go through the trouble of buying one at the store, but you've got a hunting license and some guns and ammo, then go for it. Just don't wipe turkeys off the face of the earth, OK?

Just don't wipe turkeys off the face of the earth, OK? I pretty much agree with this. Western society is past trophy hunting, or at least it should be. Hunting can be allowed on the scale described above, and governments should implement the necessary regulations for what concerns rifle ownership and hunting licenses to ensure trophy hunting becomes a thing of the past. For what concerns the population control, I'm not a proponent of intervention. I say we let the 'invisible hand' sort that out, although we should of course allow some exceptions (in cases where human health is seriously endangered, for example).

Strawberry_Splash, your post sounds kind of...morbid Not to be rude or anything, but it seems to me that you'd rather kill for PLEASURE more then for food. I'm all for hunting deer, moose, turkey, elk, etc... for food purposes (I believe that's the only reason one should hunt). But to hunt soley because you have 3 rifles and an eagerness to slaughter...well, like I said...sounds very... gross.
