Opinion in Pumbaa's singing of Can You feel the Love tonight?

If I'm not mistaking, Elton John was horrified when he heard Pumbaa singing the song and not Nala and Simba...

I love the special features on my special edition! :D

To Teal Lioness: I agree with you! Timon is an excellent singer, and he's a great dancer too! He's just a natural.

Then again, Nathan Lane is a gifted singer, and he's known for his stage performing on Broadway. It would make sense for him to use those same talents to give Timon a comical, theatrical feel about his character, and there's such a big heart to it as well. It's one of the many strengths that make him so memorable and endearing.
