Dragon Tamer, you've got a lot of nerve, coming up in here and saying something like that. Oh yes, his story will be fine, just as long as he makes it over the way you'd like him to. Thank you for deigning to descend from on high to make some pronouncements about how his story would be better if you were the one calling the shots. First you come around, call it depraved and filthy, then you condescend to Rotramel by insinuating that *you* could somehow fix his story and make it all better. Just who do you think you are, anyway? Some Medici prince handing out favors to the slavish artists you command? I bet you have some wonderful ideas about other things too. Like how Stephen King's "Christine" would be better without the demon-possessed car, 'cause then it's about 2 dudes and a girl they both fall in love with. Or how Harry Potter would be better without all the wizards, 'cause then it's about a guy who goes to school sometimes. Can't you just let artwork be? Why is it that no one on this site, moderator or otherwise, had a problem with it until you came along? And why did it take you so long to get worked into a righteous fervor over this? Rotramel, if I were you, I wouldn't change it one jot or tittle. If we can't have it the way you intended it, then post it somewhere else. You worked too long and too hard to have it gutted like that.


P.S. I also love how you basically accused Rotramel of ambushing you in the shoutbox last night. Please keep in mind that just because absolutely no one wanted to stick up for you and your point of view doesn't make it an ambush.

Personally, I think that a lot of the things no longer allowed on the site is getting a little out of hand. Granted, I know that this is a "kid" site, but how much is too much? I know that most, once they see the warnings, just click o.k. and start reading, or whatever, but that is their problem. And then they complain about it. If they were clearly warned about it ahead of reading it, it's their fault, not anybody else's. Why the writers should be punished because of some children who can't pay attention to the warnings on things is beyond me.

First of all, it's not because "that's how I like it," that I suggested those changes. It's because those changes would make the story appropriate for this site, open the door for some more dramatic possibilities, and basically give it a new lease on life. I look at "A Forbidden Love," somewhat like a Persian rug with a stain on it. It is, in and of itself, a work of art. But the stain damages its value. Clean the stain off and it will be itself again. But you are right- if Rotramel ants it the way it is, it will have to be somewhere else.
As for my "accusation," I have accused no one of anything. But if you guys are so much in the right, why do you find it so neccessary to gang up on a person who is doing everything he can to present you people with a win-win solution? I can completely understand that Rotramel doesn't want to let his stories go down without a fight. I wouldn't either. The difference is that his stories are legitimately objectionable under the rules of the site, whereas mine are within the rules. You think I am coming as a slaver and a tyrant, but I only want to offer him freedom. If he would simply try the suggestions I offer, he would have nothing to worry about from pests like me who actually care about rules.
And by the way, if you hold him in such high regard, why don't you let him speak for himself?

Dragon, HrryNrmn's right. You have a lot of nerve coming up in here. Yes you have a right to your opinion but you've taken it way too far. Rotramel is not going to change the outcome of his stories just because you're uncomfortable with it.

Not to sprout religion in here my friends, I'm sorry, Dragon you have left me no choice. You call yourself a Christian?! I'm having a hard time believing that! I'm a Christian too with a story to tell that could knock you right off your feet but I won't say anything about it! In my eyes you don't deserve to hear it!

Hey, there's an option in the vote for "No," isn't there? Ergo, I have as much right to be here as you, or Brown Wolf, or HrryNrmm. Plus, Rotramel told me aout this and basically invited me to take it up with him here. Emphasis on "take it up with him, in case you just skimmed my message to HrryNrrm. As for me being a Christian, I hope the powers that be will forgive me for pointing this out: Ever hear of the incident with the money changers at the temple? If you haven't heard about it, PM me so I can stay within the rules (hey, at least I care about it). As for your story, I wouldn't want to hear it anyway. I could tell you a few myself, but I know that as a believer I should put certain things behind me.
As for me trying to pull anything, I'm just acting on my rights and responsibilities as a member of Balto Source. You can make all the stink you want about my stories too, or at least you could if I hadn't made sure they were in line with the rules on every count. Ask Lone Wolf_fanwriter yourself.

Dragon ---> Did you even read Lone wolf's message. Though he was in a difficult position he still said yes! And he, like me, is a moderator. Your little attempt at making Rotramel's story, something that you want is not gonna happen!

He said he doesn't agree with censorship, a matter I intend to talk to him about personally. But he also said that rules are rules, plain and simple.
By the way, why the comma between "Story" and "something?" That's not very good sentence structure, you know

Because we're in the right, why do we feel the need to keep ganging up? Are you serious? I think the answer should be, since you whined and complained until you got your way, why don't you just leave? You already got what you wanted, so why don't you find some other mindless crusade to start. I know a few websites you'll have some fun with, just ask me for them!

Well, I have a few things to say on the matter.
First, I was just going to make a poll on this before I checked the fanfic section and found this topic...I guess you were quicker
I was not the one who deactivated that fanfic. And, to tell the truth, I'm a bit split up on the matter and I can understand both positions. I remember having read this fanfic, and I don't remember being shocked about anything.

You need to remember one thing : if I have forbidden the gay/deviant sexual stuff, it was because it had become a trend on the site. I have always said that it was a temporary rule for stopping the fanfic section from being flooded by fanfics which didn't make any sense but to copy popular ones, and with much worse content.

I think this is time to change that rule. Now it becomes :



As for too curious children on the site, well as long as there is no shocking content in the fanfics, and with all the warnings, I think this should be ok. After all, if you can read the fanfic, then you can read the warnings too and decide for yourself. And I don't think that it's normal to restrict everything, too.
But the fanfics mods SHOULDN'T accept any fanfic with a shocking content - and by that, I mean descriptive scenes of sex, for example.
