I'm just going to make it clear that any comic bashing posts will be removed, this was a thread to discuss why further bashing on ANY comic is ridiculous, not to bash the BBA or any other comic for the matter more.

The comment was not directed towards you (Sorry if it seemed to be so) Just re-stating it to everyone who posts here.

I wasn't comic bashing,I was saying that I like the Blackblood Alliance.

I don't even understand how they can hate it. It's barely been started, like Cat said, and it was made specifically for everyone's enjoyment. She may be selling it, but she's also posting it on DA for people who can't buy it so that we can all enjoy the wonderful characters and forthcoming plot. What right do these people have to bash her for doing what she likes to do because it makes her happy?

Simple, people hate it because it`s popular on dA (myself no I don`t hate it.. I like it a lot and I respect Kay).
And ED is full of bullcrap, if you ask me, so you must be really low to fall for those lies.
Don`t judge something or someone before you confronted em.

I don't understand why people hate her... She's a nice person probably(Haven't talked to her but she probably is) and what'd she ever do to them? Oh yeah. Nothing!

I don't approve of "bashing" anything, even if you don't like it or think it's rubbish the person who created it spent lots of time and effort on it so it deserves to be appreciated just for that one, simple reason. That goes for comics, videos, music or any other form of art.

This whole BBA thing is giving me a headache too, I don't see what the big deal is, Kay is a nice person, I joined her BBA forum a while ago and everyone there is really friendly and welcoming, including Kay, all she's doing is making a comic with the help from a few friends for other people to enjoy, if you don't like it, fine, it doesn't matter, of course not everyone will like it and be all "OMG, BBA rawks, it's the best ever!!11!", there are loads of online comics to choose from, don't like BBA then find a different comic you do like and leave everyone who dies like BBA alone.

As for Kay not giving ESDA enough credit? That's just silly, on every single page in the "artists description" Kay has said "BGs done by ESDA06" and given the link to ESDA's DA page and on her site it clearly states that ESDA has done all the BGs and some additional effects (like the rain in PG 1/2) and not once have I seen ESDA complain about not being given credit, or does ESDA not have a voice and everyone who hates BBA speaks for her?

In the end it's simple, 'Don't like BBA, don't read it', you don't HAVE to, Kay doesn't go around telling people they have to read BBA or else!

As for the fans "attacking" people who say something bad about Kay or BBA, how do you KNOW Kay told them to do that? It could easily be a load of over-obsessed fans who can't stand the fact that someone doesn't like BBA.

My simple opinion is this:

If you like the comic, then by all means, keep reading it!

If you don't like it, then just stop reading it! All you need to do is say "Ah, I don't like this comic." and then simply walk away, never to pick it up again.

And as UK said, it goes for any form of art! If you don't like some sort of art, then you just say "I don't like this piece of art" or "I don't like this artist's work/style/form/whatever" and then you just stop looking at it! You do not have to go ranting about how it's bad, stupid, cliche, or whatever, and then try to convince other people why it's bad!

Well, considering I haven't read BBA past page 3, I hardly consider myself biased in the scope of liking the comic or not.

Still, I just was saying that you shouldn't go ranting about how it's cliche, because I honestly don't see a reason to do so. I mean, just saying "I don't like this because it's cliche," is fine, but you should just stop there! Seriously, I don't see a reason to start supporting why it's cliche or whatever, and then further diss the comic and then everyone who is reading it because it's a freaking comic! Sometimes that kind of stuff can be justified, but not when you're talking about a freaking online comic! I'm not supporting it or anything, but comments like this one quoted by Clay :


...these comments are just unnecessary and to me, personally, they're un-called for.

If you don't like it, say "I don't like this." If someone asks why, you can say "It's cliche." If someone asks how it's cliche, simply, (and more importantly, calmly do so,) explain why you think so, and be done with it!
