Curious george is too recent (and not Spielberg or Amblin) and they didn't make any dvd for We're back in the US, so they didn't bother...

I don't see WHY they're doing this. Balto isn't very popular, so there's only a few explanations:

1: They're using The Land Before Time to possibly popularize Balto and American Tail.
2: They're trying to get rid of unsold copies of the movies.
3: They're using the two more popular movies to sell the pack, and throwing in Balto so they can make extra profit.

Hopefully it's the first. Unless I missed something here.

I would say it's none of the three.
To me the reason is that making 3-dvd packs is a trend, and these were the three main films from Amblimation.


Maybe yes...maybe not. We can't know unless they would comment that.


Possible but unlikely, it seems it's already difficult to find the dvds in local stores for these 3 films so I doubt that they have big stocks. They would have done an official price cut instead...


Same as first point, in fact...But An american tail has lost pretty much of its popularity, so I doubt it...

Well it used to be very known here too, but 15 years have passed since the sequel in theaters (I'm not even counting the first one...) and a lot of people have probably forgotten about it because Universal didn't do anything to put it in foreground since then.
They also air very rarely on french channels too, but in fact, animated films in general rarely air on french channels...Except for christmas and costful channels, you won't see any animated films (even japanese) on air.

maybe. there is nothing to lose really. I say go for it.

They should totally change the cover for Balto. The older one looked much better.

They're not going to change anything. Much more profitable to just toss out what they've already got.

Sadly they only relased in in Italy and France, but since it has 4 languages (Italian, English, Spanish, Portoguese) people from England or Spain can buy it. Too bad nobody knows about it here...</b></i>

There is a 3 pack for the U.S. and Canada also, you can find it on Amazon. You can find anything there. I can't be positive if it is a true 3 pack or if they just send all 3 movies together. It looks like it is a 3 pack though and I believe it is because it is actually a little more money than if you just were to buy the 3 separately.

That looks like they just took all 3 DVD's separately and wrapped them together.

It's only an amazon.com offer, nothing official.

I wasn't totally positive. That is sort of dumb then to order that package when you can get it for about 8 dollars cheaper just buying them all separately. Usually when you package things like that together it is cheaper.
