I'd say that is debatable. There are several who are comparable in skill, some that may even surpass, but the earlier point does stand...there are sloppy posts in the RPs far more often than there should be.

thanks for the compliment aniu!
Here is what I beleive makes a good rp'r a good rp'r and the acutally rp successful:
- Understanding of the plot. You will not get anywhere if there is no set plotline or storyline. Have an idea on a major conflict, and other things to keep your players busy and thinking.
- The ability to collaborate with the other players outside the rp via IM. This helped bundles as it allows you all to talk about what their characters are going to want to do and how to mix it in smooth. Take me and Eagle_205 for example.. He and I are constantly IM'n each other about the "Ghost white..." rp. We have come up with so many ideas for our characters and plots, that it has turned out the way is has.
- Posting in proper grammar. Take your time to spellcheck and do a quick grammar scan. Nobody expects perfect perfect, but trying to be as good as you can will show drastically.
- Use more thought. I know that when you are not in school, it can be hard to switch on your noggins. If all your brains were good for was for use in school, then you will have trouble later on. The more yhou tax your head with thought and ideas, the better it will be...I can assure that.
- Think ahead a couple posts as to how others will react to your post..(again, IM'n the other players will help you gauge this.)
- Keep all OOC comments to a PM or IM session. Again, wash rinse and repeat.
These are just a few things that can help anyone be a better rp'r and help a RP be successful :3 CHeers Mates!

Wow. That has got to be the clearest, most concise "Role Playing for Dummies" post that I have ever read. Outstanding, Nighteyes. I agree 100%

Nighteyes wrote: oh...another thing. regarding the IM thing. With any IM protocol in particular...AIM, YIM, or MSN, you have the abilility to make a large chat room. This way everyone can collaborate in real time with everyone at the same time.....just a little heads up. That is a HUGE bonus LOL. plus, a little IM Rp'n is fun to practice there as well :3 Well you know, there is a roleplay chat (shout box) on the site Quote: - Understanding of the plot. Not bad, I'll add that to the guidelines.

Yeah, it looks like Nighteyes had pretty much the best explaination of roleplaying guidelines I've seen in a while. And youre very welcome! And the IM comment, I whole-heartedly agree with that. And if the possibility comes up that two of you don't have instant messenger capabilities, or if you don't live in close enough time zones to chat in the shout box and plan out your rp, the next best thing is always to pm everyone. I know I pm LoneWolfFanWriter (forgive me if I screwed up the username in any way!) about In the Name of Aniu quite a lot and it does help to work out details that would be more difficult to work out in the ooc of the rp that gets lost or in the way so frequently.

Yea,like Nighteyes said, you have to read everyones post and your post has to make sense.ANd AD,I dont want to offend, but ive noticed a couple times that you did not read everyones post,Ive made that mistake to,but I edit my posts,I not so good at roleplaying, because I can loose ideas to type down.. And the rule is that there should be atleast for lines of text when your roleplaying. So,everyone,(almost everyone)knew that already AD

No, I think she was more talking to Aleu_Dusty. But yes, those 4-5 lines can't just be filled with useless, boring space taking up junk. They need to be useful in some way or other like Nighteyes said. Now I know I haven't been on in the past couple of days due to illness, but I was dead serious when I made that post on the majority of the boards several days ago. Rps that are mostly one liners, no matter how new they may be will start being deleted because they are wasting space on here. I'm not asking much, all I'm asking is that people quit treating the roleplaying boards like a chat room and make long, well thought out posts. The quality of the rp has to go up here.

Ya I'm trying to build out those Rules what Nighteyes said. Also in this Zero Hour what is new one. Making it u so that ppl are in action all the time. The plot is actional, and the players are making the forces to move fast. Each 3 Packs have own task in it. First is making brake through or trying. Second is making attacks, Third is protection. Fourth is outstander.
The plot is simple...And Fun for the action I'm trying to build up...for those characters who are somewhere in the field...also something fun for them *laughs* donno what I'm not telling. Yea I could need some more players in for those who won't come but oh well trying to handle with less ain't bad ^^ and the postes are forced to be large ones...because of the 3 Character lol
