Quite simply I found OotP to be the best movie so far (the 1st and 3rd are my other faves) but I think the last two will get even greater.
My favorite HP characters overall are Snape, Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa Malfoy, Trelawney, McGonagall, Lucius Malfoy and Petunia Dursley. Yeah, I'm a little weird and I like some baddies. That's usually the case for me.
From this movie, Alan Rickman's Snape was once again one of my faves although I wanted to see more of him. Helena Bonham Carter's Bellatrix ROCKED. I thought she was perfect and awesome and I LOVED her (also too small) parts. For me the saddest part of the film was actually Umbridge's sacking Trelawney. I loathe Umbridge anyway (now there I'm like everyone else), but Emma Thompson made me *cry* for Trelawney. I nearly did in the book too. Imelda Staunton played a good Umbridge though (made you hate her enough.) And as always, I loved the way Maggie Smith, Fiona Shaw and Jason Isaacs did McGonagall (you go!), Petunia, and Lucius. I'm still waiting to find out who'll be cast as his wife.
Minor thing I noted: Padfoot was a totally different dog all of a sudden. I recognized it immediately as a Scottish Deerhound (love them), but it passed by very quickly and I was like, "Huh? He was supposed to be that big wolfish black thing..." I wondered why they had changed it so.

Vernon is the one I most dislike, but eh, even the grouchy old Muggle needs SOMEbody to like him a teensy bit..

If he'd had a better relationship with Harry Potter then yes, too bad he's such a bad uncle and Durley is an annoying one, guess like father like son

I didn't think the movie was that good. It was very choppy and didn't explain things for the newcomers. It wasn't as good as the others, but everyone did an excellent job portraying their characters, especially with Luna, Bellatrix and Tonks.
