Evanescence...I'm a fan of theirs, whereas I've never heard of Nightwish until now. :lol:
ETA: Nightwish looks very good though, I'll have to check them out...

Film Score Metal with an Opera singer? Nightwish is my choice. Evanascence is a great band, but they're really starting to sound like every band in their genre. I'm pretty dang sure that there isn't another band like Nightwish.

I agree, Nightwish was alot better with Tarja. =/ Now Nightwish isn't so good.

Yeah T.T I just realized something. We need a poll with the choices of Evanescense, Nightwish WITH TARJA, and Within Temptation. If they all did a song together that would be awesome O-o

Those are meh faorite bands.. well now I don't like Nightwish as much, I only listen to there old songs.

I don't think that i'll even vote on this one. They are two of my favorite bands, and I just can't choose between them. I really like Evanesecene, but Nightwish has a great beat and rythm to it.

I agree on both of you, but I've listened to the new album of Nightwish, Dark Passsion Play, and I like only two of their songs: Bye bye beautiful and Armaranth. But if only they re-hired Traja and used the new singer as background vocals, that would of been better than to fire Tarja. I mean, she's the one who made the band what it is today.

Listen one and all.I used to love Nightwish to death hence my name but i just found out what their lyrics really mean...they're satanic!Look up the lyrics im so depressed.But i still like Evanscence i say them cause shes christian.Christians be wary of Nightwish :cry: :cry:

I'd go for Evanescence. They're sound has more of a weary tone to it, that's what I like about it. Plus I think Amy Lee is a better singer.

Evanescence. I've only heard three or so Nightwish songs, but what I have heard was pretty good. However, I prefer Amy Lee's voice.
