Religion in fanfics is not against the rules competely. But you just can't relate to a specific one. Which is fine in my oppinion. It was made for a reason. A lot of people can be offened by religious matters. Which is why that rule is there. ;D

I support the existing rule. No good can ever come from bluntly religious fanfics.
If you want subtle (hidden and deniable) religious undertones, go ahead, no-one will delete your fics, I think. Just don't write some militant fanfic where the religion gets in the way of any actual story. That'd be afwul reading anyway.

No, the current rules should stay as they should.
Not everyone shares your religion, Lucas Laprad (I being one of them, I'm a Jew) and not everyone wants to read a religious fanfic.

If you make up a religion for the characters in the story (like in Watership Down). It's ok if you add some minor undertones of religion, but try and keep it from making a controversal flame war and stuff.

I would also like to tell you Lucas Laprad, don't just make a post saying just "I agree" after everyone who agrees with you. Not only is that annoying, but it brings nothing new to the topic (because we already know where you stand) and can be considered spam.

Also, please don't "Advertise" your topic on other un-related topics, that's also spam.

Yeah, Lucas, bold statements like that are what start fights. Some people don't believe in things like the rapture, and others like me get unsettled when people start making such claims.

The thing with religion is that it is based solely on faith. And by that, you have some people strongly believing in one thing, and other people strongly believeing in another. When the two ideas collide, there's ABSOLUTELY no way to sy who's right and who's wrong, since no religion in the world has been proven.

And none of you start throwing religious facts at me either.

Now, cheer up. ^^ Just because it's against the rules, that doesn't mean you aren't free to write whatever you want. Sure, go ahead with your fanfic -- just don't post it here. BaltoSource is a website, not a publishing company, so there are still things we CAN and CANNOT accept.

But yes.. I agree with what Suka said. BaltoSource is a fansite. There has to be rules on what can and cannot be accepted. And this just so happens to be one of those rules.

You'll find this rule on most forums, it's pretty common; same thing as for the politicals matters.

What part of the nine hundred previous posts didn't you get? It causes controversy and arguments, therefore, steete got rid of it. I mean, I thought that was pretty clear.

As HrryNrmn has already stated, if you would only read the previous posts you'd see all the reasons people stated. It causes controversy and flame wars. End of story, this rule won't be changed because in place for good reason.
