I adore German Shepards. Some people think there mean dogs, but there very sweet. I have a German Shepard mix. His name is Chance. A wonderful dog, he just hates other dogs.

Yeah, I've known a few people with German Shepherds and they've all been pretty nice dogs (except one). My friend used to have two... one was just kind of quiet and all, and the other one was really jumpy and whiny :P I never did find out why that one was always whining. They're both dead now.

My cousin also has one. She did bite me once, when I didn't give her the ball I was holding. Come to think of it, both of my cousin's dogs have bitten me.

If they have a bad reputation, they sure don't deserve it.

Yeah, my friend's Shepherd nipped me once...but I never held it against her. She was just very protective.

My German Shepard mix won't ever bite a human. No matter how mad he is, he won't ever bite.

I love German Shepherds too, they are beautiful dogs and the pups are ADORABLE, with their folded over ears (the only purebred puppies I find cuter are Golden Retrievers.)!

GSs are one of my favorite dogs, and very beautiful, personally I like the black and red with a strong black saddle, followed by white. White GSs are not accepted in shows but they are still great dogs for search and rescue and police dogs etc.
They can make superb guard dogs but can be trained not to attack family, friends as well as mailmen etc Police German shepherds attack on command, however they are trained not to actually bite the criminal but grab his sleeve, possibly puling him down then holding the criminal until the police can arrest him.

Yep I love German shepherds Love.gif and if trained correctly they make great pets. innocentgrin.gif

I love German Shepherds.

Not only are they highly intelligent and strong but they're also amazingly loyal and excellent guard dogs. I've met a fair few and most of them have been so sweet. But you have to know how to handle them. I've seen some very untrained Shepherds but on the other hand some very gentle and docile dogs too.

We have 2 GSDs. We've had 4 total my whole life. I love them and I wouldn't ask for anyother breed of dog. :D
