More than exagerated, it's even intolerant.
Last time I checked, none of us lost money or bodyparts when someone misposted a reply. And the loss of site space is also marginal.
So is the time we lose when we check and read a misposted topic. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure replying to this has cost most of us more time than all misposted post put togheter...
Ranting is one thing, but this is almost nagging.

If that's what it took to get things to stop, this would be a pretty messed up world. It's perfectly rational to start ranting before things get that extreme.

True, but I doubt this will ever get extreme. Or at least not extreme enough to rant about. Yet I still find myself doing it... Awkward.
It be hilarious if it did get extreme though; people getting maimed because of misposts...

Then what is extreme enough to rant about, if that's the criteria, hmm? If what you say is true, then nothing that happens on this board should be ranted about, and therefore there would be no reason for the rant forum.

Well, as a matter of fact I find a lot (if not all) of things that are ranted about here exagerated, or at least farfetched. But that's just me: I don't rant/complain until I find there is a reason for complaining, and since I am somehowwhat apathetic that almost never occurs.

Note that it was not the subject of this rant that got me ranting (I didn't really care, and can't really understand how anyone could), but rather the intolerant nature of the rant itself. I should probably make a seperate rant about this though. I will do so now.
