They would be too busy yelling at the person, instead of saying a bad pit bull or whatever...And plus, the video WAS cute. What? It's okay to say all small dogs are bad? Is that what you wanted instead of "Lol"? I mean. really.. P

Random Bunny, I think you're getting the wrong idea. What I think BetaWolf means is that this little dog is found funny because of its aggression. If it was a Pit Bull or Rottweiler in the video people probably wouldn't be commenting it as 'lol' or 'cute' but instead they'd be saying how evil the dog looks.

Alright, to some people this probably is an hilarious video, but would you feel the same way if it was a much larger dog?

No, I am not getting the wrong idea. I seen people on youtube bite other people's heads off for saying a pit bull is bad. As I said, they would yell at the person for making it seem like the pit bull was bad. I know many people on youtube, and SEEN it happen. And some would say it was cute, I am sure.

And yes, I would feel the same way, because I see it on the computer screen meaning the dog isn't really snapping or growling at me, where I wouldn't have a chance getting bit.

You people are taking this video and comments too far. I am sure it would be almost the same thing for the AMERICAN pit bull TERRIER.

Plus, how do you people know for sure if it was a APBT, that everyone would be saying how evil it looks? I highly doubt it. There is like millions and millions of people on that site that are in love with APBTs and would most likely get mad at the person.

But really, this topic is more about the judgemental ideas towards larger and smaller dogs. When people see this kind of video with a dog showing aggression when it is that small, then there instant reaction is that it is hilarious. Heck, even I find it a little amusing though I don't really agree with it. However, if this was a video of a Pit Bull or Rottweiler or German Shepherd or whatever barking and snarling then people are more likely to reply saying 'yeah, it's funny until that dog has murdered a 3-year-old' or something.

You've just admitted yourself that people post comments that say Pit Bulls are bad. There are people out there who just refuse to believe anything but myths about certain types of dog. These people will swarm videos of Pit Bulls even snarling on video.

Yes, -some- people, because that is what is on the news. Their going to believe the news, and not bother researching into it, because many people are just like that. It's expected if you see a mean looking dog snarling or growling, surely if the breed is hated by people for stupid reasons, then there is going to be some comment that says their bad or something. That's the way it is.

But all because the people was laughing and thought it was cute, and stuff, doesn't mean they hate APBTS. It is cute and worth atleast a small chuckle, because many people don't expect fluffy cute dogs to be 'mean'.

I found that video rather upsetting actually, that poor dog was beng intimidated by that kid, no wonder it was growling, I'd gte pretty angry if someone was sticking a camera in my face too.

I get what you mean though BetaWolf, I saw something like that in my local park the other day, a small breed of dog was barking it's head off and growling and acting very agressive but the people were laughing and saying "Aww, isn't it cute?", er...NO!

I own a German Sheperd and she's lovely, she'd never harm anyone or anything, she'd much rather just play but when she runs up to another dog with her tail in the air and ears perked up ready to play the oners of the others dog get all silly and say things like "Control your dog!, that thing should be on a lead!".

I guess it depends on what sort of people you're dealing with. People understand dogs and that are likely to have a completely different reaction to people who look at little dogs and think aw, lap-dogs or dogs that belong in a handbag.

I get that with Archie.. he's a Border collie cross and hardly very intimidating but he does this thing when he meets other dogs where he lies down, apparently to show respect. Some people laugh and let there dog say hi, others get all nervous and put their dog on the lead and tell me that it's common curtesy to do the same. I just call Archie to heel and he won't bother the other dog.

Sorry, but after owning this breed for many years, and knowing tons of them - Also being one of my favorite breeds, it just annoys me when their breed name is spelt wrong. No offense to anyone, it's just a habbit fixing the breed's name. =P

Dear Beta Wolf and everybody!

I to am against BSL it should be Owner Specific Legislation. The owners of the aggressive dogs could commit other crimes on people too. also a good percentage of abused dogs are pittys.

As for aggressive small dogs, it is probably because their owners pamper them and don't think they need training/socialisation.

Agreed. There are some stupid people that think big dogs are mean and small dogs are "harmless". And I think thats just wrong.
