Technically it is a rant because it isn't something like "Man they annoy me! Post what you think of spam!" Instead he/she is giving what you could do to help solve the problem and what not to do and it really does annoy me also

its true. it considered spam. good rant though, a rant about the same rants over and over again.

No, bots haven't spammed this site for months (or years). There were many in the guestbook page, but a few months ago Steet added a new anti-bot code.
