*Sighs* It's discussions like these that makes me dislike talking on forums. I'm not blaming anyone or trying to be mean, it's...

I join forums to share things with fans of the same things as me. But eventually, we stop looking at things as fans and start looking at them as critics, judging things such as animation, voice acting, and sound. We stop looking at them as fans in that regard, and become like Ebert and Roeper. We're not journalists, we're the people on the couch.

That's why I'm going to judge it like this: If you loved the first movie and everything about it, you probably won't like the second a whole lot. As a fan, I'm disappointed that all of the stuff which drew me into the first movie so deeply was absent from the second movie.

Have not seen the third.

Sorry if I have upset you Betawolf, it wasn't my intention and I know your not blaming anyone either. I just wanted to hear what people had to say about the last 2 as I couldn't form an opinion of my own by reviews I've found.
I very much doubt I will go through the rest of my life without at least seeing em but reading these opinions listed (which have actually been written honestly and fairly so no need to get discouraged as no arguements have broken out :) ) have given me good insight into what to expect, I will probably watch these 2 films but what people have said about them has at least built me up for the worst (I might like em even). It's just that the first one was so great and even though it's always hard to follow a great first I just never liked to much change in movie sequels, hence why I asked if they were worth seeing incase of leaving a wrong impact on Balto in my mind.

Overall I'm sure they won't be as bad as I personally think but I doubt they'll mean as much to me, sounds like to much has changed.

These forums rock. These are one of the few forums I have been on in which we can discuss things this way without flaming each other.

But what I meant is... I'm not saying that it's anyone's fault. It's just something that happens in a forum inevitably, regardless of what anyone does. Not really anything to do with you.

But I'd like you to think as a fan, so therefore I will express my opinion as a fan. The elements which made the first movie so, so great... they're just not there in the second one. The adventure, the stuff Balto goes through, and the overall style in which the movie has been done... it's both different and inferior to the first.

If you've seen the first Land Before Time movie, and also any of it's sequels, it'll give you a great idea of how different they are. The same studio that did Balto 1 also did The Land Before Time 1. The same studio that did Balto 2 and 3 also did The Land Before Time 2 - 12.

But still, by all means, see them. If you don't, you're always going to wonder about them, regardless of what anyone says here. It's difficult to not know what you're missing out on.

5 in Balto 2? I only counted 2. Wait, are you only counting sing-a-longs?

ty m8 :)

And thanx for the info on what to expect everyone :)

I just wrote up two reviews on my opinion on these 2 movies but just realised this thread isn't about another critical reviews so I deleted em :P To sum up I'd say it's lacking originality (apart from WoC), to much aimed for young not family audience and a great shame about not including the original trio, Jenna's friends and even Steele as they were great characters leaving most people to think up some excuse as to why they aren't seen in Nome. Sleeping? Died of pneumonia? Who knows :P

EDIT BY TOGO: I've already said in this topic not to talk about illegal stuff. This is the last warning.

Oh yeah oops :P The 2nd one had its moments and kinda average but the 3rd one was very nicely done I believe, found few faults with the story...despite missing out 9 mins in the middle due to the part not being uploaded -_-

I have to see Wings of Change then! People have said that they don't like it because it makes no mention of Balto having wolf in him, and that's what makes him special. But based on what you and others have said, it's still better than Wolf Quest.

This is really subjective, I've heard all sorts of opinions about the sequel, even people liking Wolf Quest better than the original...
So, the best think to do if you're a Balto fan, is to watch them at least once and decide for yourself. That's the only way you can make up your own opinion.

As for me, the sequels are not that bad if you consider the very low budget they had to make them with, I liked them - my reviews are on the site.

Yes, Balto 2 is really good, Balto 3 is okay.
