Attention!
I have un-paused the fan-fiction writing for now, unless something else comes up. So... here's a taste of what you might be reading...
Chapter 1
It was a dark and rainy night, when suddenly lightning struck a nearby tree. It was pouring like hell when the rain fell from the dark dreary skies. Everyone in the Asylum Lands wanted to see the birth of the Prince, but there were some that wanted to kill the poor innocent cub. That pride was known as the Maskins. They wanted nothing more but to see the cub laying on the cold hard ground gasping for its last breath. They were all pacing the floor wondering how they were going to kill this soon-to-be King. One suggested that they should launch a surprise attack. Others thought otherwise.
Another had been thinking real hard about how to stop this cub from becoming the heir to the throne. He thought to himself, “What can we do to insure that he won’t be King?” He then thought, “Well, all of us could attack the King and Queen and distract them from the cub. And then one of our most stealthy lions can take him and leave where he is no where to be found.” He was lying down at the time, he then stands up and says, “I got it… the perfect plan.”
The leader, Exton, wakes up from his short nap and says, “Well get on with it.”
The Queen of the Asylum Lands was having a baby, hoping that the cub would grow up to be a great Prince and then rise to assume his place as King. So they made this necklace out of rock and made one of their servants to carve his name into the round charm of the necklace, Midnight. But one night, after the cub was born there was an ambush on the Kingdom and the little cub was taken away from his parents before he was old enough to know who they were. The lion who took the cub ran far away from its parents, so that they wouldn’t be able to find them. The perpetrator dropped the cub in a nearby bush and left him there to starve. He didn’t want anyone ruining his plans.
It’s been two weeks since the cub’s been spotted and it’s been munching on the leaves on the ground. Until one day there were two lions, a male and a female, that happened to waltz by and spot this cub and took it in as their own.
Their names were, Sumal and Balzo, they were very fortunate that they found this cub. They’ve been wanting a cub for a long time, and this was their chance to show that they had the capability to handle it. They noticed that there was this emblem around the little lost cub’s neck; it said “Richard.” It looked like it was carved with claws of a lion. They gasped when they say the name. Balzo thought to herself, “I wonder why and how Prince Richard got all the way out here? I’m sure the King and Queen are looking for him right now…”
Moments after the Kingdom of Osylin was intruded, the King and Queen sent out their army of lionesses to find their lost son, and soon-to-be King. The King was pacing the floor and the Queen was lying down at her throne, weeping of the loss of her son, with her friends at her side. One of them said, “It’s going to be alright, we will find him… one way or another.” And the rest of her friends just stayed by her side in her time of need.
King Staron was still pacing the floor when his advisor, Bladen walked up to him and said, “Are you going to be alright?”
King Staron just stopped, turned around to look at Bladen, and then he said, “No… no I won’t, Bladen.”
Bladen replies sympathetically, “I’m sure that whoever took your son, we will find them and stops them. Or we could just kill him?”
King Staron yells, “NO!” Bladen is startled by his voice. He then continues, “I want that perpetrator brought here to me…”
Bladen nodded quickly and riposted, “I’ll send out a scout to the army to let them know.”
Hours after the scout left from Osylin Rock, it’s like their type of castle; the scout reached the army’s location. He ran up to the commander named Saulon and said, “Sir, I must impose on your search.”
Saulon pivoted and answered, “How so?”
The scout replied, “The King has sent a message consisting of you bringing the perpetrator to him alive.”
Saulon casually starts to walk away and says, “I certainly will.” Then he and his troops walk away into the sunset.
It started to get darken in the sky when the scout was returning home. When suddenly as he was walking through the grassy areas of the Asylum Lands when he heard a motion in the grass beside him. He stopped and looked around swiftly and he couldn’t see anything. So he just continued on walking. Then he heard it again, he turned around to see if it was behind him and it wasn’t. So then he thought to himself, “Am I going insane?” He thought nothing of it until that night; he then kept on walking keeping an eye on his surroundings.
Just then, in those same bushes, were two little henchman to Exton, they taciturnly walked as if they were following him. And once they got the chance, they’d kill him. They had no clue what the scout was talking about to the army of the King, but they knew that it had to of been about them cub-napping the Heir to the Throne, Midnight.
And still as Exton sits at his alter, his army some-what still alert, they hear a faint noise from the entrance to the cave and they all stand in alert, and to their surprise they find one of their scouts waltzing in. They all stand down while the scout walked toward Exton. He stood before him and said, “They have reached their destination. They are slowly but surely closing in on their target, sir.”
Exton looks up slowly and stares down at his trusty scout and answers, “Good… Now go and rest, I’m sure that I’ll need you once more in the future.”
Then the scout lies himself on the ground and sleeps.
The King and Queen have still been pacing the floor waiting for their scout’s return, when one of their generals suggested, “Why don’t I and my brigade and go and search for him?”
The King replied, “No, let us wait a little while longer. I’m sure that whatever’s holding him up that it’s only minor and that wont take too long.”
