Asking to be a Mod

I always receive messages from people asking to be mods. But it's clearly mentionned in the rules not to ask to be mod, and a mod should read and know the rules, so...
Also, they just don't know how much work it is...These people would do their job during one or two days, but they would quickly abandon it afterwards.

Also people ask how do you become mods? Sometimes people mean " I'm going to become one!" or sometimes they mean it in a way of" What's a mod?" and asking to be a mod does get annoying on the sb.

THAT bugs the crap out of me, maybe even slightly more than people who ask to be mods. The reason why: This is a rant board. The point of it is to share your opnion about something that bothers you with others who feel the same. Maybe it won't change anything but, at least you get to blow off some steam. You know?;D

BUT, I do understand your view about rants.

Also, don't you think it's hard to ignore when it happens just about every day? Well, for me it is but, I do have some tolerance for it...

Person 2: because you're immature and obviously don't know the rules

Yes. This bothers me alot too.

But you do have to understand if a new member asks. Because, like you said, they dont know what it is, so they just ask anyway.

But people that have been here for a year or more, should know better then that. Maybe they just do it to anoyy people? :roll:

Very true Steet. I have came to know some members that HAVE been here for a few years or mounths, and still haven't even read the rules. Thats what really pings me off.
And they just keep on asking and asking if they can be a mod. Its really anoyying! And if a mod says no to him/her, they will start to complain and whine because of not becoming a mod.. I mean like, grow up, you should know better, esspecily if you are an old member!

I personally don't see how Yupik is abusing the rant board, as you accuse. This board is for talking about things that bother people. Yupik is not breaking any rules, and is not talking about deviant matters.
