Wolves are very beautiful, but I'm a dog person through and through. I love the variety of sizes, shapes, colors, breeds, etc. There is great variety in wolves too, but more so in dogs...than pretty much any other animals, really. I've heard that "canis familiaris" is not truly a separate species from canis lupus, though, anyway. ~^

Went for wolves, I just like the sameness of em all, not sure why as I'm usually into uniqueness and all that, dont get me wrong though dogs are great but wolves are much more mysterious to me as dogs are quite domesticated

I voted dogs, but I should've thought it over a bit more. It depends in what regard. Both are cool for different reasons.
In real life, I like dogs. When I think animals, I think pets, and I don't think I'd like having a non-domestic animal as a pet.
In terms of literature, movies, and video games, I prefer wolves. They're a lot more mystic and interesting than dogs. Imagine in Okami if you played as a dog instead of a wolf... that would not be as good, would it? Wolves often play major parts of the story while a dog is just the main character's pet. Pets aren't important in these kinds of things.

Not so.
I agree 100%
Dogs are not ruined wolves, rather they are wolves that have learnt to live with humans. So, if you want a wolf as a pet, get a dog.

Agreed 100%. I LOVE the size, style and colour variation amoung dogs. From unique patterns, to ear stylings, to size in tails... every dog looks unique. Wolves look way too alike.
And not to mention how much dogs have helped Mankind. Think about it... where would we be without dogs?! Police Dogs, Rescue Dogs, Guide & Hearing Dogs... they're the most loyal and reliable animal in the world. Which is why I want one so badly... >___< XD
Don't get me wrong! I love wolves. But dogs have always been my favourite animal... and they still are! There's no question to why they're called 'Man's Best Friend' ^__^
