what i mean is that people might get angry with some disisions and not invite their bf/gf to baltosource because of some strict rules.

i do see where steet is getting this from though...........mates uasually only go on the rp because mods are never or hardly ever on it.

no that i know its not my place to say this at all (people be nice) that steet should either tell a few sb mods to go on the rp regularly or make rp mods. of course i think he would choose the sb mods going there but hey i dont know.........

Thats not a good excuse. Theres something called the "edit" button on your first message. Use it next time to write more.
Also this site isn't for LOVERS. Its for BALTO FANS. Mate talk is terrible. I think its fair. Theres lovely things called PMs,instant messaging,myspace,email,and phones for talking to mates
Not a site for balto fans. We already have so many freedoms like with the other forums for films/series and stuff. We don't need to let mates allowed,sms,anything else. I think this site is fair enough.
So I like the idea of the rule but, (uh-oh XD) I think we have a pretty organized place already for a website. I mean compare our shoutbox to deviantart's chatboxes and you'll feel grateful.
We can't PERFECT the site. Its not possible on the internet. So we just should be happy its not total haywire.
Basically the rule sounds cool, yet a bit extreme in the same way.
I think you mods can handle banning mate whiny butts. I have confidence you can do it without a new rule.

Aggred and thank god they might ban those emo things. The pictures are soo stupid to me! The mate thing is annoying me I go on and they're hugging and kissing "Please stop!" So they try to start a stupid/pointless arguement with me! I'm trying to help them so their not ban by the way but sometimes they think its too difficult to obey the rules! Seriously shut the crap up about mates for one day! Complain to yourself their gone tell your parents for all there say is the same of what I'sa either

@ WARRIOR CAT: I'm aware there are people on this site that know each other in real life -- to me, this only supports my cause. People that are actually bf/gf can talk to each other, and be as lovey-dovey as they want in person. It's much more effective than using the internet.

Brill rule Sloth, I probably wouldn't care anyway if"mates" went, it's not the end of the world, you can still talk to them. And I see mine everyday at school anyway.

I agree fully. I don't think mates of any sort should be allowed. At all. Period. I mean, it's not even real anyway. If people are so desperate to want a 'mate', go find yourself a REAL boyfriend/girlfriend! I hate when I'm on the ShoutBox having a nice little chat and all of a sudden some girl comes in and starts crying and whining about her 'mate' and how he's cheating on her or some other crap. It's just... dumb. It's not real so just got on with your life children.

That's actually probably one part that makes me most want to be sick (lol) is that most of the members here that have mates (that I've talked to) are kids - not teens. I've had a few kids ask ME if I wanted to be their mate and just for the heck of it I asked how old they were and they were like 10. Just... awkward and weird and I hate it. xD

I really hate how people come on asking "Whos a boi press 333" or something. Its like "o_O.." You just KNOW what they are gonna do. Its like "Yuck." Oh.. there is this one chick (no names) who is 'mates' with a guy who.. is probably older than Steet. Do you know how old she is? Ten. Yep. Sickening, isn't it? Just the idea of like.. mates... sickens me, actually. :] I know its not real or anything, but I try not to go into the pedophile(sp?) thing.

I mean, it wasn't so bad a while back... Sure, it is better without mates... but still. People take mates very serious here. I dont think it'd be an issue if people knew it wasn't real. Thats probably what sickens me most of all. Is how 'in love' these ten year olds get. Those 10 years old have NO FRIGGIN' IDEA WHAT REAL LOVE IS. Fact be fact, some people will never know true love. They only think they do.

Mate tollerance really needs to be down to Zero. I'd say one warning and then a ban... but thats just me. :] Because I am SICK of this. I am seriously sick of it. Its like.. "*barfs*"... Ick.

I think any public place here on the site, should not be allowed the mention of mates. I see these profiles with all this stupid junk about how much these people love their mates. YUCK. Okay, I get it that people are free to lie to themselves about love... but cant they do it where I dont have to stumble upon it? I am sure many other people agree on this.

I really dont get why people think they need mates. They come on crying about how their mate dumped them, or how they need a mate or they'll kill themselves, or how their mate cheated on them... OR SOMETHING. Its like "Grow up". I think the problem is that they dont have a 'mate' in real life, and they are a loser or something... so when they see that they can get a VIRTUAL love, they go for it!

I really love their cleverness, too. :] "DOES NE1 NEED A M8!!111"... Thats two rules broken right there. XD Clever, isn't it? :]
