I do belive that he's stuffed in Nome...If I'm not mistaken. I'll bet that's a premere tourist destination.
I don't want to meet an old stinky Dog. He wasn't even part wolf, he was a regular ol Husky.
do you really like Balto?

Very Much so. I love the visual style and the animation is well done. I also love the layout and the effects too. It's not a perfect movie, it has its flaws but It's a welcome addition to my collection.
And of course, the white wolf is an amazing acheivment in character design.

Balto currently resides in the Cleveland Museum of Natural History where he mostly stays in cold storage. He is put on exhibit for few weeks around the anniversary of the 1925 diphtheria serum run.
Togo, Leonard Seppala's famous lead dog and a founder of the AKC Siberian Husky, is currently on display at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters. Togo was 12 years old at the time of Serum Run. He and rest of Seppala's team had the longest leg of a 19 team relay.
Balto was not just a "regular ol [sic] Husky." He proved that he was a LEAD dog by leading Gunnar Kassen's relay team through one of the worst Alaskan blizzards. The blizzard was so bad that Kassen could not even see the wheel dogs (last pair before the sled), let alone Balto. Kassen was completely relying on Balto to lead the team through the blizzard.
Thanks for filling me in, its truely a great story...sometimes I wish the movie was more true to it. When I said regular husky I meant in terms of breeding.

Touchy touchy
Ima visit Nome one day to see who's crazy enough to live there.
Would it be like northern exposure? Jewish Doctors who don't want to be there and Ed?
I'd love to see alaska. There's a huge loop that I want to take one day...During the summer or the extreamly short Fall. Visit Ancorage and the national park. Maybe even see some wolves! ^__^
