I want to go. when will this be? My parents wodent take me but, my aunt probly would, cause she loves to travel.

It will be next year, in July or so. We are not really set on dates though. And even being 13, you will have to bring an adult; only 16 and up can come unacompanied, but of course with consult of their parents.

I hope he can too! It would be wonderful to meet you and your husband! And with what my team and I have planned, I think your daughter could possibly have fun too! But we will not really say much about what will happen until later. ;] But yes. I am sure your husband could find some fun out of coming !! ^^ But of course, it is up to you two to decide. :]

I might be able to go...I'll be turning 13 next year anywho. I'm sure my parents would be willing to come with me. But you might be surprised how my appearence would be like.XD

D And Once we have everything set up and ready, I think your parents will be okay with it all. ^^ I hope this to turn out to be a big bash, and big enough for us to do one the year after, too! :]

Umm, they take a plane, duh. Most everyone is gonna have to take a plane to get there. Its not that hard, and you can get plane tickets moderatly cheap.

I mean, come on. Common sense?

Well, geez Maya, no need to be rude. I think he was probably refering to the logistics of getting several dozen (hundreds?) people from all over the country and world who've never met each other together at one place. We all live in very different places all around the US and the world and we're all of varying ages and economic statuses. I dunno, sounds like a planning and logistics nightmare to me. For example, where would we all stay, or would it be every man/woman/child for him/herself? We'd better make sure that wherever it is that we're going has the wherewithal to host us. What's transportation going to look like when we're there? You can't rent a car until you're 21. Add in working out travel dates, working it into everyone's schedule, building an itinerary that makes everyone happy, costs, housing, food, drink, security possibilities, permission and proper supervision of minors (because I don't care what anyone says, I wouldn't want to take charge of folks under the age of 18. That's an insurance nightmare just begging to happen. I know we're all mature and can handle ourselves, but in the eyes of the law you're not an adult until you're 18 ) and everything else and we're talking something that I expect could rival some well-financed and well-run conventions (Anthrocon, Star Wars conventions, tradeshows, etc.) or other type of large get-together. I know I wouldn't be up to the task of organizing. And by no means am I saying you're not up to the task MayaHuskee, for ought I know, you're a master planner and have it all figured out. But I would caution against anyone thinking that this is just going to be as simple as ordering some plane tickets or hopping on a Greyhound bus. I find it difficult enough to get through an international airport and get me and my family on a plane, let alone trying to make sure that dozens of people flying to and from every point on the globe all get to somewhere on time and meet up with the group.

Sorry to rain on people's parade, but I'm just trying to be realistic.


But hey, that's just me. I'd would, in spite of all I said, be interested in coming, even though it would cost me way more than I could ever spend right now to fly to Alaska. I could drive to Cleveland with no problems, so that might be fun. I'd be happy to have food, drink and fellowship with some folks on here.
