What pisses me off more than people who say they're going to commit suicide (almost all people who are serious about committing suicide NEVER tell anyone. Suicide is a private thing, people who are serious about it don't want people to know so that they're not talked out of it. Keep that in mind.) are those who believe them TIME. AND TIME AGAIN. They think they can prevent someone from committing suicide, making them the all-out miracle worker as a false sense of comfort, when the only thing they're doing is giving the attention addicts what they want. They NEVER realize that the person is using them ( to give themself a false sense of appreciation, since they don't know how to achieve REAL appreciation in real life, either that or they never try to) and is NEVER going to kill themself, but they just keep on going telling them not to do it and that people care about them as if it made any difference. It doesn't, it just makes them look stupid when they tell the same person not to kill themself for the 8th time this week.

Personally, I just sigh and ignore those people. I know how bad things can get by looking at how bad things have been or me and my family recently but whining about it on the SB is'nt going to improve things is it?
There are times I wonder why these people bother, I tried to help someone once who was sad and saying stuff like that and just got told to "get lost" by them, well thank you very much. See I've gone and made myself ticked off now, next time I'll just point and laugh when they chicken out, coz they will, I hate people who are so pathetic!

YES someone finally speaks up about this.
I remember, that 'Sasko' guy, walks in and says "I am extramally emo" (with horrid spelling) and later claimed Emoes would "rule the world". (XD)... When I brought up his/her being emo, the person stated "Oh, I changed my mind" all within an hour. >_>
People confuse me.
BUT; I have complained about my life, mainly when I get into a heavy argument with my family/fiancee. Later, after talking it over with friends and getting advice, I blow it off my shoulder (just another chip on it I won't need).
What's worse, is when someone threatens to do bodily harm to themselves or the cause of their "ail", looking for attention, they get upset when people politely ask them to stop or take it to the PMs.
When looking for attention, they want it, and when they get it they only cause problems. If you ask me, these people are just wanting to cause problems for those who don't have any (or at least, none that they know of).
And depression can be clinical. Now, if someone says "Today I want to be depressed", they are of course, 'psycho' or bipolar. Now those who have "suffered the loss of" a pet or family member, if you ask me, they have a right to be depressed and be consoled. Now, if they threaten to hurt themselves, they need to go see a doctor. o_o

When people do this, it annoys the heck out me. More so recently.
How so?
About 3 weeks ago, I found out one of my best friends took his own life. I do NOT take this matter lightly, I really don't. When people do this on the SB, it makes me mad, yet fearful for said person.
There are some good reason to be sad on the SB, as Kirada pointed out. But doing this over and over is not right.
SO STOP!

I didn't read everything, but to the ones who say that they do this to get attention, well you need to be careful. Because this may not always be true, and the worst thing to do is keep everything to yourself. When you have trouble, you should always talk to someone else.

Point taken, Doby. I'm sure (or I at least hope) that people are aware that not everyone who does this stuff does it just for attention. True enough, people do, but not all of them. I commend you, Doby, for opening up like that. Not many people can do that on a place as public as the internet.
Doby did raise a good point, but here is the problem that I sometimes face in deciding if people are for real about this stuff or not: this is the internet. I mean, I'm not discounting Doby for what she said, because I can usually tell if things are legitimate claims by the style of writing, (Doby's being one of them), but other times, when it's not so obvious... you know... people can make up that stuff on the internet. Anyone could say that they take anti-depressants, and anyone could say that they are diagnosed with depression. We could go to meet these people in person to see if that is legitimate, but that's 99.999% of the time impossible.
Just putting that out there... if it was un-called for or offending or something, I am sorry. Just stating what I know.
