I agree concerning the matter of everything having a reason. Take it from me, I've been through some rotten times. But looking back, I wouldn't change any one of them (well, except for this bug I've had all week). But enough about earthly experiences. I believe that angels do everything for a reason too.
As for the no-religion policy, although I am a very serious Christian, I do not feel that my statement was out of bounds, as the belief that demons are rebel angels is common to more than one religion. And concerning what kylbowles said about them being the result of reincarnation, I have one question about that. According to what they told us about Buddhism in Social Studies, souls going through reincarnation supposedly break free of the cycle at some point and become one with the universe, correct? So how is it that the human population continues to expand? Where do the extra souls come from. Again, I don't think this question crosses the line because, like rebel angels, reincarnation is found in many religions. If I am mistaken about the rules, please let me know.[/i]

Oh, and Kirada? You are partly correct. Sometimes we can't know exactly why angels are here. But many times they do have a distinct and unmistakeable purpose. For instance, some people have been saved by angels (sometimes seen, sometimes unseen but clearly there) who were clearly there to save them. Also, sometimes they serve as messengers. Once, for instance, a man was trying to locate a boy who had fallen into a frozen pond and was trapped under the ice. He had no luck until he saw a "tall blond man" pointing to a different part of the pond. The man searched there and found the boy, who eventually made a compete recovery even though when he was found after several minutes under water, his face was as blue as his shirt. As if it wasn't strange enough that the tall blond man had known just where to look, when the man who had seen him looked for him later, he was nowhere to be found. Furthermore, nobody else there had seen such a man there at all. So it's true that w don't always know what they're doing. The important part, I think, is that they do.

None at all.
Tamer ---> Partly? Hrmm, well, okay.
Judging how this is an opinionated topic, I cannot rule everyone and say "This IS right!" because it is full of our own personal opinions, correct?
If you ask me, this topic is lined with a person's art. They will draw to their own opinions/ehtics, correct? I know many of all artists do. It all ties back to inspiration.
But, back to the topic. Which for once, I don't have much to say. You are all driven to your own opinions and I cannot shun that fact, nor can I deprive you of them. So, go as you will. Your ethics are yours, mine are mine, and I will respect your for yours (even if you don't respect mine).

Point taken. I always try to align my opinions with the provable facts, but I sometimes forget that what I think isn't everything. Sorry. I do respect your opinions, although I almost never find it easy to agree with atheists since my entire life has proven to me time and again that God is real. But enough religion. I apologize, Kirada. I thought you had said that it was impossble to know why angels come here, but in review I discovered you never said anyhing of the sort. My bad.

I agree with you. I don't believe in animal angels. Sorry, but I don't. I DO believe in human angels, mainly because there are some in the Bible, but not animal angels.

I totally agree with both of you. I understand that some of you out there believe in them. But personally, I don't.

Actually, LAdy Vader, the Bible makes it clear that angels are not, strictly speaking, human, since there were angels before God created Adam and Eve. However, Jesus did say that those who die in Him become "as the angels." But technically, there is a difference.

I think angels are a race all on their own, but that's only because I'm Christian. However, I do believe in Native American 'Spirit Guides.'

Well, I don't know if the idea of animal angels blasphemes Christianity in any real sense. Blaspheme carries such a strong connotation that while it may represent a theological error from a Christian standpoint, I don't think it's blasphemous. I personally don't believe that animals become angels, but I also don't believe that human beings become angels either. I believe that angels are a separate entity apart from humans. Human beings have souls, and I believe that when they go to heaven (if, indeed, they make it there) they become transfigured and have no need for earthly bodies or things, but they are not angels in the strict sense of the word.
I do believe that humans can watch over us on earth from heaven, and I'll go out on a limb and say that perhaps animals can as well. If that was what was meant by "animal angels" then I'm in agreement.

You're absolutely right about the definition of the word "blaspheme." By definition, blasphemy is the sin of claiming to be God or to know better than God, either by words or actions. So the idea of animal angels is not blasphemous by any means, although it may be somewhat heretical, or contrary the teachings of the Bible. I'm not a pastor by any means, although I am on my way to becoming a Bible scholar, so I may be wrong about it counting as heresy. For now, I'm just a dictionary.
