The Flight of Dragons (1982)
The Last Unicorn (1982)
And yea Watership down is 2 years earlier
Watership Down (1978)

So there are movies at the beggining of '80s that dosen't have a game

Well, at least we don't have to worry for any other Land Before Time sequels coming out - there's just way too many! Now, they'll be able to transfer all of their weak, lowly sequel ideas into weak, lowly episodes.

Well let's say mid of the 80's then...After all, it's in 85 that video games started to get into family homes.

Not sure about that, because they didn't say they will stop making sequels. On the contrary there is a LBT 12 planned to be released the same year.

The thing that I find really disturbing, is the fact that there will be - for the first time - a gap of two years since the last sequel...Does that mean that they want to take more time making the sequels, so making them better? Or just that they want to make more impact by releasing it at the same time as the TV series?

It's one of the best selling direct-to-video series ever made. (60 millions units sold)
So yes, it's doing well...But the Balto sequels did sold well too.

It's about dinosaurs, and childrens loves dinosaurs...
So what do you expect...
I loved dinosaurs too when I was little and I liked the first movies of TLK when I watched them and was in the first grades.
They were... fascinating...

BTW, it's pretty sure now that if a Balto 4 would be made, it wouldn't be released until 2007...
The question is, what will they release in 2006 then :?:
It's entirely the opposite of their current philosophy : "The market for DTV will increase dramatically until 2010", so I really don't understand...

They said in their official statement that LBT 12 will be released in 2007...So unless it's an error, that's not possible.
That's really strange, now I can say that they are becoming really unpredictable, unlike the way they have been these last 10 years :?
