Qwerty

QWERTY was a demo song that isn't on the album. It got cut and is on LPU6

Still sounds good to me. I recognize it as the song they play on LPTV episodes.

The song reresents what they have done in the past and that all notions about them will be shattered

I like the song, and it DOES sound like them. I knew it was Linkin Park the second that the piano started playing at the beginning of the song.

Also, Chester (the lead singer) said on a radio station in my area that the band wanted to get away from the rock/rap combination that they've done in their last two albums and try something new. There's a lot less rap and frankly, I like it.

You also knew going in you were going to listenin to linkin park. Please just as a test, play it for a person completely unknowlingly and dont give them any information on the song and see if they can actually tell it's linkin park.

You can like it if you want..not gonna stop you..just I really dont think is linkin park at all anymore.

I respect your opinion...just I'm curious..so I'm actually trying this as well on my friend as we speak...and well he couldnt figyure it out at all..and once I told him...he said "WHAT!?...no...no...no...This sounds nothing like them" and proceded to throw my wii remote. And he told me how he listenined to linkin park al lthe time and could never figure out who it was. I am being honest and lying to just prove a point...i actually want eveyrone to do this test to someone who doesnt know about the new linkin park..and see if they will ever figure it out without you telling them.

In a recent interview with MTV.com, Chester explained that the nu metal sound from their previous albums is completely gone. He also stated that the new album is a mix of punk, classic rock, and hip-hop beats.

Ok I'm not buying the album period. and I will no longer refer them as Linkin park. You lose your style..you lose your name.

Don't you think your going a bit overboard with this? It's a song, and it DOES sound like them. They want to try a different route with sounds instead of sticking to the rock/rap thing. Moving away from it, I think was actually better for them, the songs are clearer, and they sound better. Your being a bit dramatic here.

I'm actually taking it as any old school Linkin Park fan would. This is not Linkin Park.

Let's say what id MCR changed their style to like..Death MEtal..how do you think you would feel about it?

I've got friends who have been long time LP fans and are glad that they stopped the screaming and the rapping. Pesonally I will miss the old LP but I'm willing to give the new LP a chance.

Also most people who I've let hear the song have no idea it was Linkin Park.

Yoru has a point there Nu-metal to alternative vs. Emo to Death metal is not nearly an equal comparison

So I take it if they did, you would be very upset. That was shown in your post. Now realise how an oldschool Linkin Park fan feels seeing their true style get crushed.

Honestly Jack most of the LP fans I've talked to love the new style and say it's a step up for the band.
