I hope to take him to Agility Classes in the summer. Just for fun as he isn't that young. About six or seven, we hazard a guess.
Just be carefull... a six year old dog is already quite late to start training in AGility, and a seven-year-old is relatively unheard of. Just don't push him to mutch, and keep an eye on his legs. His back may also weaken on obstacles such as the A-frame and Dog-Walk. I don't think you'll get to the weaves, but I don't think they'll do any damage.. especially if he's a slower weaver.
Anyway: Border collies, yes these are great dogs! I have never had one, but i know someone who does herding and agility with hers. Lots of Border Collies are in agility, because they are fast... with killer weaves.

However, they jump low and flat. What they make up with speed, they lose in dropped bars, since most Borders are flat jumpers - they jump long, and mostly "Fly," without really jumping. Though they seem to be getting better now. Borders are high-drive, typically. You can do pretty much anything wit them, and they'll work hard. Borders are usually used in herding and agility. Of course, they're seen in conformation.
