RATS! Rats the size of. . . Rats!
love that line from Garfield. I guess pet rats are okay. When you get those 'uninvited guests, creeping around your house then they start to get unpleasant.

HrryNrmn wrote: Again, Lordlion, that's your opinion. That came off a bit rude to me, since I like rats and think they're cool! The ones I've had the pleasure of meeting certainly weren't "infested" with anything, or infected, infarcted, or anything else (infarcted means that they had dead tissue, usually from a stroke or the like). And meeting them certainly wasn't a "waste of my time". Jeeze, man, take it easy on the poor little rodents.
Yeah...I'm just given the picture that rats are infested with diseases and stuff. But I guess those are only "Wild" rats. So pardon my comment!

You know, I never liked rats until a few days ago.
I found him outside. No, he's not wild, he escaped from a local pet store and the poor guy was out in the rain so I took him in. He's a small white rat with red eyes and his name is Dexter. ;D
I have to agree that they act a lot like miniature dogs (they fall asleep in your lap, eat food from your hand and recognize voices, smells and people). The only rats that I find disgusting are the ones in the wild that sneak into houses and carry diseases.
Domestic rats are totally different. They're adorable. :3
>>EDIT<<
By the way, this is Dexter.

OMG!!! He looks just like my Crystal!!!
I love rats, I had a pet one called Crystal, she was sooooo cute, she loved to sit in my hood and on my shoulder, it was nice having a little friend, XD, she always got excited when I went in the room her cage was in. She loved to eat dandelion leaves, XD. Unfortuantely she's dead now, I might get another one sometime but I need more room first.
Sewer rats are'nt as nice, got lots of diseases, poor things. I still think they're cute but I would'nt try to pick one up or anything.

I have two rats. Unbelievably intelligent - they never make the same mistake twice. They're also quite linguistic as far as calling them by name goes. As for the relationship between them and my cats - varies - sometimes they're quite companiable and interested in one another, but sometimes they just bite each other and snarl.

I love rats!! I used to have two, but they're kind of dead...their names were Peanut and Marshmallow (aka Peany and Marshy XD). They were so nice (and cute). Peanut was light brown and Marshy was an albino (white). No one except my family liked Marshy 'cause she 'looked evil' (she had red eyes). She was really sweet, but everyone played with Peanut instead of her. I liked both of them...a lot...
There's this one guy at my school that hates them and all rodents XD. If you say the word 'rat' or 'mice' or anything related to rodents around him, he'll totally freak out XD.
