How can you say you learned your lesson, if you don't know why you were banned?

Anyway, more work for me...I won't change the fact that we really need to get rid of the old bannings, because there are way too many banned IPs and I don't want to risk that innocent visitors get banned because of that.

But I think the main problem is that you fear that all the banned members will be released "at the same time". Well I'll maybe add a random number of days to each, so that they will be released "progressively".

I don't get the point of this rant...You yourself said that it should work...?

I hope that if you do the progressive release, that it doesnt glitch and everyone gets stuck in banned mode (that was banned) I've had really simple programs backfire (but then again, I'm not really good with programming)...And with the history of glitches and bugs BS has...

That would have its pros and cons. It would be easier to handle one member being unbanned at a time, but the mods would probably have to be on here every single day to watch over whoever's getting unbanned that day. i agree if we got out 1 person at a time there would be an issue but with the mod thing and the thought of keeping people that don't have the slightest idea of why they are in there longer is mean. so i geusse it is what ever you decide steet...either have more mods constantly on the watch or let them all out[/quote]

Well I would prefer not having to do it, because I would need to make a script dedicated specifically to this. So if you don't like the idea, then it's better leaving it like this.

I like the idea, infact I think it's a great idea. But if ya don't feel like writing a script, steet, I don't mind because this rule doesn't affect me in any way, shape, or form ...

Sorry steet, but I really don't agree. I know that you're just trying to help the site, but some people (like spammers and people who post links to "adult" sites) need the forever sentence so we don't have to keep rebanning them each month...

I agree to the 1 month ban to a certian extent. I was banned at one point for about 4 months. Not for any extreme reason, just for a petty incident. But people who contstantly disobey rules should get heavy sentences. In fact, I wish there was a feature that would allow people who contstantly disobey rules ( like people who steal for example) to not have acess to certian parts of the site. That way, they don't have to be banned for rediculous amounts of time, but still pay for thier mistake. am month should be enough for the common stuff though.

I love this new rule but the only thing is tasha girl *the girl that got me banned for almost ever* deleted her account and made a new one just so she wouldn't be banned anymore and now im kinda doing her ban time. its her fault that im banned. But I did learn my lesson. I will not ever again let tasha girl on my computer. Especially if she is banned. *btw her new account user name is kitty lover and dog lover I believe* ^^

This is hard for me. I like this rule and don't like it.Because there's been a lot more problems on the SB and RP lately so that's why I don't like it but I like it because maybe if people realize that mods are giving them another chance they won't be so angry so eventually they might stop.
