Technicly, these theories that Scar is Nala's dad cannot be proven to be the truth or not. (I guess however maybe Disney could do something). It's the same as Balto's dad, it hasn't been proven in the movies, so it's up in the air.
But the topic of Nala's dad is a good fanfic idea (same with the idea of Balto's dad). Disney wouldn't make Nala Simba's cousing...It's stupid to analize a movie like if it was a real lions documentary.
Exactly!

I have seen it in some fan art, how they draw Scar and Zira together (Which of course never happend in the movie)
But I think that people like to add to the movie a little. And add things that never happend in the movie.
But this gets extreamly anoyying sometimes, because poeple can get out of control a little with it. Like what happend in Balto 3, with the Kodi + Kirby thing. Thats just stupididty.
And I hate it. But yeah, nothing like that has heppend in TLK yet.. I don't think so anyway.

Canis Lupus wrote: Yes, I do. You shouldn't try to make logical sense of the film by saying that Nala is Scar's daughter etc. I mean, you can write fan-fictions about it but just remember that Nala is there for the sake of being there. She doesn't need a 100% accurate description.
They look nothing alike and in the film they are in seperate families..

I actually read somewhere (on http://www.lionking.org, I believe) that the creators of The Lion King actually did say that Nala's father is either Mufasa or Scar. Personally, I don't like either theory, so I just choose not to believe them-> this is what fanfics are for^^

You don't have to believe everything you read-- perhaps the site invented that

like I said, I choose not to believe them. however, you can check out more here: http://www.lionking.org/faq.html#father
Quote: On June 14, 2004, the creators of The Lion King gathered in Glendale, CA, for a Tenth Anniversary Panel discussion, where Brian Tiemann asked directors Rob Minkoff and Roger Allers point-blank the answer to the foregoing question. Minkoff's immediate response was "Roger [Allers]"; but after further discussion, both directors acknowledged that Nala's father, while still not known definitively, was either Scar or Mufasa. Despite this "canon" claim, James Maxwell and Raymond Down, Jr. maintain that Nala's father cannot logically be either Scar or Mufasa; they present an argument toward this thesis at http://www.lionking.org/text/DownMaxwellTheory.txt.
