Whoa....major bump!! Lol!! But I have a reason, don't worry.

I've got a few new questions up. If you haven't answered them, or you want to change a previous answer you had before, please tell. Getting feedback is all apart of the process, and I'd totally appreciate it if some of you could take the time to at least answer some. ^^

Much obliged!!

1.) SCENARIO: You are simultaneously writing and reading a book (or watching a movie), and are halfway done with each. This is when you notice that the book/movie you are reading/watching bears a noticable resemblence to the book you're writing.

I'm not really sure how I'd feel. Probably a bit confused at first, wondering how they became so similar, then I might feel a bit angered because I would have put so much work into something that was a complete rip-off of something else. I'd probably just continue writing the story, making sure the rest of my writing isn't anything like the movie/book I'm watching/reading.

I'd probably continue writing it, but think over the plot more. I'd change some things immensely, but I'd never just scrap all my work and start over. I might take out a few scenes and replace them with other events.

2.) CHARACTERS: Could you relate to a main character that is somewhat weak and defenseless, or would you prefer the "bloodthirsty killer"? Explain your ideal character. (Personality wise...I don't need to hear what he/she looks like) Please explain why.

I prefer weaker character to bloodthirsty ones. I tend to find the weaker ones more interesting. They usually go through more stuggles than the bloodthirsty ones and you usually get more attatched to them. I find they tend to be more lovable and when they finally ((if they even do)) reach their goal, you feel happy for them 'cause they finally got to prove that they could be strong. The bloodthirsty characters are far more boring. They are way too overused. In some stories, they have no reason for being bloodthirsty in the first place. If the writer gives a reason for them to be murderous creatures, then I'd enjoy those characters more.

My ideal character would be realistic and unsure of him/herself. They'd have a rough childhood, making them shy and very unsocial, giving them a sort of mysterious personality. I like characters who hide their feelings and who have had a bad past. I also like it when they're loveable and you end up getting attatched to them, no matter what their bad traits are. Paranoid characters are cool too.

3.) PLOT: Do you enjoy plots that are entricate, and make you pay attention to every little deail, for it effects how you understand what's going on? Or do you prefer a simpler, straightforward plot that doesn't require much thinking or reasoning? Please explain why.

I tend to like complex plots where you actually have to read every single word in the story to fully understand it. They draw me into the book more, especially if it's written right. I like to think deeply about the things that are happening and try to figure things out while I'm reading the book. I also tend to like movies and tv shows with the same sort of things in it. It makes me grow more attatched to the show/movie somehow and gives me a better explanation for the events that are occuring.

4.) SCENARIO: You are reading/writing a fantasy story. You decide you want there to be some form of magic in there, but you want to limit it because you know magic is a sort of way for a character to "cheat" their way through a story.

I've never written about the wizard/witch type of magic, but I do read Harry Potter books once in a while, so I guess that counts. I usually enjoy it when characters have certain powers, such as the ability to Shape Shift or the ability to see the past. Usually, if the characters have those sort of powers and are living amongst regular people, they have to hide their powers. I don't exactly know why I find that so interesting, but I guess I do. If I ever give character magical abilities, I think it's good to have a weakness that isn't too rare.

5.) OPINION: Do you think character deaths are good (if they're limited), or do you prefer a story with as less killing as possible? Please explain why.

I like to have a few characters die in a story, but if there is too much, the story just gets stupid. Although I am sad when my favorite characters die ((since they usually do. I've proved it.)), somewhere deep inside me tells me it's okay. You just have to remember it's only a book and the characters were never real. Back to the question. I think a few character deaths make the book more interesting. If no one died, I feel it would be a bit boring.

6.) OPINION: Do you feel that dragons being telepathic or empathic is now something that's much too common or not? Do you look down on it and think that authors should try and put more "spiff" into their fictoinal creatures? Please explain why.

I've always thought dragons would be cooler if they didn't use telepathic powers, but telepathy is cool too. I just think they'd look so much cooler if they actually talked through their mouths and everybody would be able to hear them, not just the people they chose. I think they'd somehow feel more believable if they did talk through their mouths.

7.) OPINION: What do you think of good books being made into movies?

I actually very much like it when books are made into movies. Usually if I enjoy a book a lot, I always look forward to a movie of it. I enjoy seeing other people's perspectives of the books, even though most book-based movies have many good parts/lines taken out of the script to make the movie ''better''.

8.) SCENARIO: When you are browsing the book store or library, what is it most about a book that catches your attention?

The first thing that catches my attention is the cover and the title. The cover and title usually tell something about the story, so if there was a book called, lets say, The Hairbrush Killer and there was a hairbrush on the front, I probably wouldn't read it . The second thing that catches my attention is a really cool summary on the back of the book. If a book has all these things, then I'll usually pick it up. Although there are those random books I pick up 'cause someone has recomended it to me or 'cause something else stands out to me.

9.) SCENARIO: You've finished writing your book, and are now ready to get it published! However, you feel that content of your novel is something most authors are ALSO writing about, and is already too popular. What do you do?

Hey, if I'd get the opportunity, I'd seize it XD. I wouldn't really care if other authors were writing about the same thing.

10.) OPINION: If you HAD TO choose, which book-based movie would you say is the best?

I'd have to say the Harry Potter films. They stuck to the basic plotline, although when I watched the third movie then read the thrid book right after it, I noticed a few good parts that were taken out, but I guess if they hadn't taken anything out, the movie would be way too long XD.
I also really like The Outsiders, but I've never read the book, so I can't compare them...

11.) Does length have an effect to how much you enjoy a book? How many pages would you prefer a book to be?

I really don't care how long a book is. I prefer books to have smallish-medium sized text and to be 150 pages or more. I'll read anywhere from there up, even if it happens to be 600 pages long XD

12.) Do you often share your stories with others while its under the development process, or would you rather gather everyone up, and lift the red curtain all at once?

I've shared my story with only a few people, but I only tell people who will actually listen. I've told about three of my good friends and I've actually told pretty much everything that happens to my sister. She helps me with parts and gives me suggestions on how to make my book better, just as I do with her book. She also helps me with the hard decision of if I should kill off one of my characters or not XD

13.) While writing pieces that take particularly long, how do you get it done? Do you just write it when you have time, or do you set up a strict schedule and force yourself? Do you have those periods where you'll just drop a story, then suddenly come back to it weeks later?

I still scetching out most of my story's plot still ((been doing that for the past year or so)), but I have written a few major parts. When I don't have a block, I usually have about a million ideas that I try to spill out on paper. I usually come back to it a few days later and add to it, but sometimes, I may come back to it a few weeks later.

14.) How do you deal with writer's blocks?

I practically think about my story all day long, so when I do have writers block, I usually just plan in my head what I could make happen in the story. I think about all the possible situations I could put my character in and basically have a fun, yet very very long, brainstorming session XD.
Either that or I draw out possible scenes from my story. It usually helps.

15.) Do you enjoy writing solo, or do you sometimes prefer writing in groups, where the work is evenly divided?

I really like solo writing for a few reasons. In a group, everyone has to agree on what happens in the story, whereas in solo writing, you are free to write about whatever you feel like. If you want a certain character to die, you don't have to consult it with you group. You can just...kill them...
I also don't really work well in a group, so solo's more for me.

16.) Do you consider yourself a good writer?

No, I don't think I'm really good. That's probably the main reason I roleplay. Roleplaying helps me become a better writer and how to respond to certain situations. Since everyone is controlling their own character, you never know what you're going to have to respond to. It's a rather fun way of learning XD
