I don't think the race was the Iditarod, it was probably something else that's about as big as the Iditarod. I'll have to watch it again when I feel I have an hour of my life to waste.

The race wasn't the Iditarod, but a race that the filmmaker's made up that's less harsh on the dogs called, "The Arctic Challenge". And the town wasn't Nome, either. It was called Tolketna, which is a real town in Alaska.

That was a great movie! I put it up their with Balto and Spirit! It was funny when Ted had a dream that he was in Florida and the dogs were talking.

Tolketna is not a real town. It was just made for the movie; It's in the DVD's bonus.
