I beg to differ, organic foods are different from regular processed foods.

There is less chemicals applied to them and:
A recent study in 2006 measured the levels of organophosphorus pesticide exposure in 23 schoolchildren before and after replacing their diet with organic food. In this study it was found that levels of organophosphorus pesticide exposure dropped dramatically and immediately when the children switched to an organic diet.

I thought they were different too, and I'll even show you the article from the magazine when I find it..

Mmm, nothing quite like a nice, thick, juicy steak and a beer, with some mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli on the side and a nice expensive cigar and glass of cogniac afterwards. In heaven, you get to eat that every day.

I like hot dogs too, but since I'm from Chicago, I guess that's no suprise. But hey, the standards now decree that no brains or lungs are allowed in hot dogs, so we're all good (snouts, tails, and all the rest are fair game). Natural casing ones are the best, you get that yummy crunch.

Fair to say, I love meat. Chicken, beef, pork, venison, lamb, veal, it's all good with me!

but are pepole forgetting about vegetarians??? yes some pepole think vegetarians are wierd but if meat eaters knew what they were eating when they ate meat they might not eat meat

Do you imply that wolves, tigers, lions, pumas, dolphins, sharks and "whatever predators else" don't know what they eat, eventhough they killed it themselves?

I'm born as an omnivore, so, I need to eat meat for supporting my own health, and I love to eat meat, after all... don't tell me what I have to eat and what not.

Alright - I might ask you - what gives you the right to kill plants, when I'm not allowed to kill an animal for my own survival? Are you allowed to kill a plant, because it doesn't have eyes, and because it has no mechanism to "think"? Are you allowed to kill or hurt it, while plants evidently have outputs one considers as feelings... as they remember good and bad conditions given by organisms living around them? Are you allowed to kill plants, while you might drive valuable species into extinction by it?

Just like the wolf... or wild cats... we're born to predate... in fact... without predation we wouldn't even exist today, as our brain couldn't have developed without the immense supply of proteines in meat... it's our role in the "circle of life" to eat animals (and plants... of course), just like a cow has to eat plants. I really don't see why there should be something wrong about it.

It's best to just to go organic, eat natural foods, read labels and don't eat at fast food places... Please don't rant endlessly like I made the mistake of doing. I recommend a movie called "Super Size Me".

My great grandfather once taught me one sentence - one sentence that's really true and can be applied to everything we do: "Take of everything a little, and of nothing too much."

It's never healthy to do something excessively, but it's required to learn, do and eat things that cover a wide range... we're built to act like that.

If someone stays vegetarian it's just as wrong as those who simply go to fast food restaurants and eat all the fat meat... and that's the point in my posts regarding the entire issue.

I do eat meat and I do eat at some fastfood places, with in walking distance there is 3 different fast food places and I go sometimes but It's only if I have band and cant make something for myself.

I? Hardly... biology and biochemistry occupies me all the time, so, I also live by that knowledge. After all - I have a well trained (not overtrained) body and a weight around 64 kg... so... I guess my diet can't be all that wrong.

I really try to stay away from all fast foods, and yes I'm a veggie.
I don't drink any sodas, I try to stay away from candies too, but I have a weakness for chocolate.

I hardly ever eat fast food, only pizza once every two months and Mc Donalds every once in a while, but only if somebody else buys it for me. I wouldn't waste my money on something I clearly don't need..

Candy? Not really.. It bugs my teeth, only candy I really eat is suckers.

But pop.. I LOVE it, I haven't had any in quite a while but if there's some in my house I can't help but drinking it..

lol.. This went from a conversation about Vegetarians & Meat eaters to what kind of junk we eat.. weird..

I don't drink much pop or eat much candy.. sweets.

Only chocolate. Even that's Cadburys. I very, very, very rarely go to fast food places. I hate fast food.

It's weird.. I've just started some Food & Nutrition coursework and the topic is Vegetarianism. I have to research, plan and prepare a lunchtime snack meal suitable for a teenage veggie. :D

Eating meat is just another thing we need to have in our diet. Eating beans all the time would get kind of boring don't ya think? :D
