I know what you mean Cat.XD I've seen a lot of bloodthirsty killer personalities.-__- Everytime I see one new one, I roll my eyes. I mean, it dosen't have to be a bloodthirsty character....and its kinda unoriginal. And yes, they have to have a least ONE good reason why their character is bloodthirsty, my character, Domino has a bloodthirsty side, but it's because an anti-wolf creature had jumped into her body and morphed with her soul and there's two Dominos which the evil one is Anti Domino.(I prefer the peaceful type. )

Well, that took a while for my lazy butt to read. X3
Yea, I know about Swiftkill (really great char if you ask me).
My characters though, represent all aspects of my personality:
Kirada: Can be shy, easy to anger, protective, social, and just plum stubborn. Also, she is half Sheenu (shape shifter) and Vampyra, which contributes to mood swings. YES, she has toxins that can kill some other freak-show (yes, I called Kirada a freak show) in up to five minutes. But have I used them? NO, not since I rped [a lot] on Yahoo! Chat.
Whispers: Very anti-social and shy.
RazorBlade: On a war-path to nowhere, and a Wolf Demon (though she lacks the toxins Kirada rarely uses).
Nightmare: Somewhat childish and sometimes naive. She's genetically put together, so there is no real origin for her mood changes (at least, nothing that no one would expect or unexpect).
Abigail (new and not yet seen): Cocky... That's it. She's a cocky "I'll-kick-your-hind-end-in-one-hit" girl... Which, who doesn't have at least one moment like this?
Marmina: Fairly arrogant and one-way minded (closed minded?). No, just a wolf with awkward red markings and is a daddie's girl. So, what can be expected? Just the aggression from being a wolf.
Now, I have seen people who have torn off Kirada (because I have had her since the second grade, only then she was a pure white hucky with glass eyes named "Harley"). But, this person I know personally (Amanda Jean, she had a gallery here). She's also traced and claimed [several] of my drawings AND characters.
I know [what at least one person or you] is/are thinking. "Who am I to act all hypocritical when I 'tore off' Mizzy?"
Well, I gave her the credit I promised her, right? I will continue to look up to her, right? Hmm, maybe. Most likely.
I'm sorry, but when someone else steals something of yours and they know that you're going to find out? Can people on this site expect to keep their "secrets" hidden forever? No, no no!
Along the lines, somewhere and somehow, someone will come across it and rat them out somehow right?
Well, I'd better shove off the subject or else I can go on for pages and pages. X(
Just wanted to let you know; you have a point and that people should have one character or a few to reflect themself/themselves (in case they have a split personality, which I doubt it... >_>; ).

Yes, I have to say that I DO agree with the whole rant you put up Cat.
And thats ture, that your character isn't 'badass' if you make blood dripping out of thier mouth, or battle scars, ect. That just makes people think that your character is a blood-sucking vampire! O.o
And people feel to express their feelings through thier art or thier writting. Even I do. Mainly everyone that loves to draw or write does. It could be love, hate, sadness, crazyness, humour, ect. Lots of different feelings you can express through your drawing or writting.

You're exactly right, Suka. I find "weaker" characters alot more interesting than "stronger" ones, because it adds more conflict and conflict is interesting. I can't stand it when people try to make their character "invincable" where's the conflict? The least they can do is make killing a problemmore than just by killing everyone around them For Kiona it eventually kills her because she is not that strong mentally or physically compared to most. MUST...HAVE...CONFLICT...

Yay!! I ish smart. ^^ How do ya like them apples, children? :^D
Okay, I'll give it another go. I should probably quit while I'm ahead, but eh, what the who. XD. Usually, a reader grows attatched to to character not only through emotion, but also through what that character has to go through. I'm not saying that everybody's character should be weak and pathetic, but more people are able to relate to that more if you start your story with someone like that -- AND SINCE NO ONE ON THIS SITE IS A REAL WOLF, it'd be best to start off small. As your story progresses, your character will grow and naturally become stronger.
...and yeah...having a scar slashed across your eye doesn't really say much. ^^

It looks to me, that people who have "invincible" characters seem to act as if their character is the best and better than anyone elses. I know its annoying, but I don't think you can really do anything, so you just have to ignore them.
