Or maybe its just two wolves, like Nava and Niju find her, not knowing she's Aleu's mother or something, then just kind of have character interactions from there (but since they'd be alone, they probably wouldn't have had a good meal in a while without their pack, so Niju could consider eating her, which would be a very interesting conflict) And in the mean time, Balto and/or Steele and/or Kodi and/or etc. could be out looking for her.

Well, I think its just more likely that Jenna gets lost and not Balto, but whatever XD And if they have to, animals will resort to cannibalism to survive.
