Why they decided against that cover I'll never know, it suits the movie so much more and is way more eye-catching than the one we ended up with, I love it!!

I think I, too, like the eye-catching quality of Mr. Weinstein's cover idea. IMO, it shows a better description of what WQ was all about - a father and daughter's journey into the wild world that they looked like they belonged to.
The description on the back is better at summarizing the film also, unlike that terrible snippet from the official DVD (which had a lot of misconceptions - like Balto knowing that Aleu should follow her heart when she discovered that she was part-wolf . . . What the heck? In the film, Balto didn't like Aleu away from his sight period! Whoever wrote that should be shot. (not literally, please. XD ) There were a lot of other things, but I'll put that in a rant or an article later.).
In other words, I agree. This cover is much better. Kudos to you, Steet for posting this, and thank you, Mr. Weinstein for allowing Steet to show this to us! It's very beautiful indeed!

I like this one better. On the one we have now, Balto creeps me out.. It's his eyes, and exspression!

Awesome cover, except for the front. It's misleading, since the movie was barely about the puppies at all.

This isn't going to happen anytime soon...

That is so much better than the one used.
I noticed Aleu has brown and yellow eyes in it though, but they make her look quite charming actually x3
