The scientific name for all young lupus (Wolves) is listed as "cub" in all types of scientific journaling and books....so er...they are technically cubs.

I've always called them pups or puppies, but I have seen books call them cubs as well. It's confusing, since half the wolf books I have say cumbs and the other half say pups, but I've always said pups since pups/puppies is the correct term for young canines.

I'm sure that both pups and cubs are correct - "cubs" is mainly used in more informative writing, though - but I tend to use pups. Like others have said, it's what I call all members of the canine family (babies, I mean. I wouldn't have the nerve to approach a full-grown male wolf, alpha of a large pack, and call him a pup. xD And don't say he wouldn't understand). When I think of cubs I think of lions, tigers and bears. Not wolves. However, I do say fox cubs.

The right way to call a young wolf is a cub, any wolf keeper would say that.

Those are all valid names for wolves, as far as I know, and my knowlegde is limited.
Cubs and pups are the most common terms.

No i am right banshee it is cub and to say that a cub is a cat or a breed of cat big or small than that means you are saying a bear is a cat XD...look it up and find out for yourself it is cub.
