I agree that no one is ever ugly. But Beauty is never a definate thing, and in the words of Tower of Power:
"What's hip today, might become passe'."

It's what's on the inside that counts, be confident and just be you. you don't have to worry about looks, if you are confident, it makes you look beautiful. if you stand up to bullies and other people, they will respect you more. Don't focus on your looks, it doesn't matter if you are beautiful on the outside. just focus on the inside and everyone will agree that you are a beautiful person. just read the lyrics from the sugababes song "Ugly" and think of that.

I agree with Drew.. but I do think that beauty helps. Most guys that I know say that they like girls with personality and a sense of humour but looks count too. I suppose it all depends on your view of beauty. Everyone has a different outlook. I mean, most people think Johnny Depp is gorgeous but I can't see the fascination and then I get a weird look when I say Ian Watkins from Lostprophets is nice.

I've never called anyone ugly, not meaningly anyway. Of course, everyone must get into those jokey situations when you say someone looks like a monkey in a book or whatever, childish, I know. But I've never purposefully looked down at my nose at someone and said, "God, you're ugly." Mainly because I know that I'm no better usually. I try not to put myself down about looks... I don't cover myself in make-up to hide myself. I have friends now, guys and girls and this is without make-up. Why should I be treated any different with make-up?

Now look, I'm not being racist but my school is literally all people out of this country. I'm taking mainly about Hispanic people[If anyone is Hispanic I'm sorry] and some kids from Kenya.

And I get nothing but grief because the hispanics-in my school- are very look based when it comes to getting a girlfriend/boyfriend. When I say one guy is cute, they stare, when they say a guy's cute, I go Pfffh...But they always say they're better looking then me and my friend here's a conversation with me and some cliche:

"Why are you talking to us?"

"We felt like it, dummy."

"We don't talk to ugly people"

"What makes you not ugly?"

"We're not from America..."



and that's it! I snapped at that point...So I won't go into details with it.

The only beauty that matters is the stuff inside. But if you think about it.. What's beauty and what's ugly? It's all just based off of what someone THINKS. It's kinda like calling someone weird. Who's to say what that is? It's all an oppinion.

Exactly, some people think that all people with red hair are ugly, some people think their gorgeous. It's all an opinion, and your opinion about yourself is the only one that matters.

But, seriously folks, beauty does matter, and oftentimes it is arbitrary what is beautiful. Concepts of beauty change all the time: the pencil thin models of today would not be thought attractive even 100 years ago. Things change.


As to one's body: there are things you can change to make yourself more attractive, and no, I'm not talking about drastic body alteration or plastic surgery. My whole point is, if you don't like the person in the mirror, then change it until you like what you see. If your hair is ugly to you, then cut it a different way. If you don't like how you dress, dress a different way. I don't know, I always figured that I'm not hardly Brad Pitt, but I'm not ugly by any means. Take some time and effort with your appearance and you'll look fine.

If all that doesn't work, just be a nice person and smile alot. Even if you have a wonky nose, a stick out chin, flabby thighs, and messed-up hair, if you smile alot it won't matter.
