I've said everything before on this matter and what I don't like so I will not repeat myself.
I would like to add some fact and that is you do find homosexual acts in animals. I used to know someone whose male huskies mated with each other due to frustration of not being able to get to the female in heat.
Two of the male huskies I train once tried that too for the same reason.. but I was there and stopped them because I didn't have time to put up with that, we had a race to run.
Parrots will often pair up in same sex couples and will be extremely bonded, if you ever buy a 'pair' of parrots you have to specify a breeding pair for a male and female. These same sex pairs will groom each other etc but I don't think they mate.
Male dolphins will also mate with each other for fun.. or as punishment.
I believe some Primates will also do it to make fun at another.
However there is no love here.. too much personification is put on animals as it is and very few animals have sex for pleasure, it is procreation and that is it.
Incest also happens a lot, pedigree breeds in dogs are known for it and isolated wolf packs have been documented doing it too when an alpha gets over thrown and a younger related male steps up. Wild rabbits will interbreed like that as well as many other collonies of animals, they just don't put this human taboo/fettish/thought into it all.
For the record though I am anti any sexual content in Balto but I really don't care anymore.. people can do what htey want but they have to live with their dog-humping selves.
I bolded and italicized your one statement above. Look man, I'm not taking sides here, and it sounds like this whole homosexual discussion has caused a great deal of trouble on this website. But I do want to focus on that one statement for a moment, when taken in total with the rest of your post.
Doesn't what you said in that one statement totally negate what you said earlier in the post? I mean, if we are to believe that homosexuals bond for love and not for purely physical motivations (and I'm not exactly sure what I believe in that respect. But it's not for me.), then it is utterly impossible for animals to be homosexual given that statement you made. And really, I don't believe animals can express homosexual urges. Except maybe our closest living relatives (other primates). And even then, I don't think it's the same. Certainly animals of lower orders cannot rationalize taboo/fetishism and stuff like that.
As someone who has trained dogs, you should know that dogs engage in dominance behavior. Humping is part of that. Same sex or different sex. Even females humping males. And this just might also be the case with other animals as well. But homosexuality among animals? Feh! Come on!
Like I said, I'm not taking sides here. If homosexuals wanna be happy, so be it. So long as they confine it to their bedrooms, or places designed specifically for homosexuals to be able to freely express themselves without fear of prejudice. But while I'm totally new here, I agree with people who have said that this stuff doesn't belong here. Though I agree with you on one point...no sexually-explicit content belongs here. Are we fans of Balto, or erotica freaks and "fetishists"? I know I don't want to be part of a community if it focuses on erotic fantasy and fetishism disguised as Balto fandom.

Ooooh, and for "Aamplythikheyes":

Homosexual dogs are too far fetched for you, but dogs with human intelligence and speech... that's perfectly normal?
Ummm, how in the world can you equate anthropomorphism to homosexuality in terms of controversy? Anthropomorphism is an accepted device used in cartoons and other forms of animation. And really, since cartoons are aimed at kids for the most part, homosexuality is a taboo subject. Responsible parents don't want their kids exposed to it. Or any sexually-explicit material either really. And good on 'em.
